their classes were about to start but the teacher still hasn't arrived. the classroom doors were still locked shut.
the students of the class all awkwardly stood outside of the doors, waiting for their teacher to come and unlock them.
y/n was sat on the floor, leaning on hikaru's leg. hikaru was leaning against the wall, playing on her phone.
bahiyyih was sitting in front of y/n, also playing on her phone.
taerae and junhyeon were standing beside hikaru, talking. junhyeon was being loud, as usual. now that they've "fixed" him, he was back to normal.
junhyeon bursted out in a fit of laughter. this caused y/n to open her eyes and look up at the loud duo.
"what's so funny that you have to disturb my power nap?" she asked, grumpily. junhyeon looked down at her, a few chuckles still leaving his lips.
"it's nothing you big baby." he smiled, going over to crouch down beside her.
"why're you so tired anyways?" he asked, calling his best friend over to talk with them.
"me and y/n went over to hiyyih's place to have a sleepover but her brother wouldn't stop throwing stuffed animals at us so we had a mini pillow war." hikaru explained, sliding down the wall to sit with the group. when she was sat, she moved y/n's head to lean on her shoulder instead.
"yeah. lea had to yell at us to go to sleep at four in the morning." bahiyyih added, rolling her eyes at the thought of her brother coming in before they fell asleep. kai came in one last time and threw a monkey stuffy at her face before he ran back to his room, giggling like a demon.
y/n sighed, closing her eyes once again.
"can someone wake me up when the teacher gets here? thanks." she said before dozing off.
the four then talked in hushed voices so they didn't wake her up.

about ten minutes later, the doors were finally unlocked by a substitute teacher. they woke y/n up and they dragged her into the class, sitting her down in her seat.
the teacher introduced themself before leading them outside the school so they could work. the students went to go to their desired areas. y/n and junhyeon went to the outdoor soccer field since there were bleachers that they could work on. half of it was also covered by tall trees, giving them a good amount of shade for that sunny morning.
arriving at their spot, y/n quickly unpacked what she needed and they got to work.
surprisingly, they did quite a lot of work. something was definitely up with junhyeon today. it was now y/n's job to find out what.
