Chapter 5

Baizhu has to return back to Liyue tomorrow.

I am a little upset about it, but there's nothing I can do about it.

Over the course of the few days he was here. He tried everything in his power to help me. And I greatly appreciate it.

So for the last day he's here he wanted to check up on my condition, and give me recommendations and such.

"Make sure to stay on top of your medication, you don't want anything to get worse. And this should help you not fall unconscious so much, make sure to take one everyday. And here's some extra pills in case you run out."

I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah okay mom."

I said sarcastically.

He sighed.

"Just do everything I instructed. Okay?"

"Yeah okay."

He smiled.

"Alright then, I'll see to it that I get everything prepared for my departure tomorrow."

He began to walk off, but I grabbed his hand before he could leave.

He turned around and stared at me with confusion.

"After you're done packing, how about I show you around Mondstadt a bit before you leave?"

His smile rested back upon his face.

"I would love to."

I then let go of his hand and he turned around and walked away.

Wait did I just do that? I'm pretty sure I just did that.

Does that mean I asked him out?

Lisa told me what that is.

So did I?

Did I really just do that?!

As I continued rambling in my head I accidentally bumped into somebody.

"I'm so sorry, I wasn't looking where I was going."

I apologized then looked up at the unknown person.

It was a male.

Oh... it was just Kaeya.

"Did I just see you ask him out?!"

Kaeya grabbed my shoulders and shook me excitedly.

"I think so."

He cheered then hugged me.

"I'm so proud of you best friend. You're learning."

He used his finger to wipe an imaginary tear.

"I think this calls for a celebratory drink!"

He paused.

"After I get back."

He laughed lightly yet awkwardly.

"Yeah, where are you going?"

"I'm headed up to Dragonspine for an assignment. Jean said it was urgent so she made me take the job. But it won't be all that bad, I can stop by and see a friend along the way. Plus I can handle the cold."

I nodded my head in understanding.

"Albedo, right? You told me about him once. You said you've known him for quite some time."

"I did?"

"You were drunk."

"Oh..."

"What did I say?"
