The outskirts of Dwarka were cloaked in verdant embrace. A majestic ashram, built by Krishna himself, awaited the esteemed sages and rishis. Mayuri, sent there at dawn, was surprised to find Krishna lingering by her side. Her mothers and Balarama, their eyes brimming with unshed tears, resembled mourners at a wedding. Mayuri, ever practical, couldn't help but laugh at their dramatics. She reassured them with promises of frequent visits, the ashram being a mere stone's throw away. Vasudev, attempting to hide his own moisture-filled eyes, was quickly exposed by Mayuri's sharp gaze. A warm chuckle escaped her lips, the memory of their emotional send-off already bringing a smile.
Devaki, her voice thick with concern, issued a stern warning about abandoning her barefooted palace ways. Mayuri, after all, had been pampered with Devaki's personal attention, her playful explorations routinely ending with her mother wiping away the dirt from her tiny feet.
This parting, though temporary, brought a pang of longing. Mayuri would miss their love, their playful scoldings. Yet, she embraced the change, remembering Krishna's constant reminder: life was a flowing river, ever-changing its course. Mayuri, however, had added her own twist to the metaphor. Life, she had declared, was a chameleon, constantly adapting its colors.
Krishna, with a sigh and a shake of his head, couldn't help but be amused by his sister's unique way of seeing the world. He wasn't surprised; she was, after all, his sister.
"Mayuri," Krishna began, his voice turning serious, "always remember this – our destiny is forged by our actions. Choose good, and your name will echo through eternity. Even hardships endured in the pursuit of righteousness are blessings in disguise. Conversely, those consumed by greed and hatred sow the seeds of their own destruction. There are those who commit terrible acts yet seemingly escape earthly consequences. But their true suffering awaits – their tainted souls, denied salvation, will be condemned to an endless cycle of rebirth until their very essence fades into oblivion. And then there are those who embrace a life of good works, even in the face of immense hardship. These are the true gifts to humanity, sacrificing their own comfort for the harmony of the world. They are the ones who achieve true immortality. Because those who serve dharma, Mayuri, dharma will always protect them in return."
Mayuri hung onto his every word, her gaze locked on his. As he finished, Krishna merely offered a mischievous smile, his eyes playfully darting down to her bare feet.
"Where is your other payal, mayu?" He questioned knowing very well where it is. "I'm sorry kanha, I have lost it in hastinapur. I have no idea where it is" she admitted looking down sadly. Her chin was raised by krishna who just smiled knowingly
"It's definitely in the right hands my dear sister, definitely where it belongs" he stated and mayuri looked at him confusingly.
"Tell meeee with whommm" she began to bug him and he just sighed dramatically ignoring her tantrums. There she goes back to being the kid she is.

After some time krishna preceded to leave and hugged her tightly. Even the supreme lord would met melt easily when it comes to his dearest sister.
"Whenever you need me, just remember me mayu. I'll always appear" he caressed her hair "I'm 101% sure that you and dau will appear in every two days. Heck I bet you both will come and stand on my life from tomorrow itself" she laughed at his face while he just opened his mouth to say a snarky remark but could form nothing.
"Well! You know everything, don't you? Yes I will appear tomorrow and what about it" Krishna huffed making her laugh more.
Soon they parted goodbye and mayuri went inside the aashram. They were only few maids with her and she insisted in sleeping on the ground along with the maids after all they have come so far leaving their homes just to help her.
