Stefania Pov

The next morning after Angelo called, I woke up earlier than usual so I could actually get ready while Lucy was still asleep. I took a quick shower and blow dried my hair. I was debating if I should do it in a ponytail or just leave it down. After debating for longer than I thought I decided to just leave it down. I went ahead and put on some light makeup. I'm never one for doing too much make up anyway. By the time I was done I was expecting for Lucy to be awake, but she wasn't. I just hoped she didn't wake up as I was doing the interview. I went ahead and checked if my laptop was charged which it was. As the time came closer, I was becoming more and more nervous. Not because of not getting the part because I'm already used to people only wanting me for a small role. I'm nervous because this has been my first interview with a producer in what seemed like ages. I went ahead and turned on the sound machine and closed the door to my room so Lucy wouldn't wake up. I logged into zoom while I waited for the invitation email for the zoom. As soon as I got it I clicked on it and was instantly connected.

***: Hi! You must be Stefania! I'm Stacy McKee, you can call me Stacy. I'm the producer for station 19 in a minute I'll add Krista she's the shows show runner. (She said as she clicked a few buttons and grabbed what looked like a file.) How are you? (She said smiling sweetly.)

Stefania: I'm doing good! This came as a surprise. I only had a day in advance to get ready for this interview. (I said a bit shy.)

Stacy: it's all good! I'm glad you were able to make it. We've been looking for an Italian Actress for a while, but no one has fit our image of what we are actually looking for. They are either not full Italian or not fluent in Italian. You're fluent in Italian right? (She said looking at me with a worried look.)

Stefania: yes. I was born and raised in Sicily a city in Italy.

Stacy: yes perfect! I love your accent by the way.... (While she was talking another person popped in which I'm guessing is Krista.) Ah there she is!

Krista: Hi! Sorry I'm late I had somethings to do. You must be Stefania? I'm Krista. (She asked as she also grabbed a few papers and a pin.)

Stefania: Nice to meet. Yes, I'm Stefania Spampinato. (I said with a smile.)

Krista: Omg your accent! I love it! Full Italian? (She asked hopeful).

Stefania: Aw Thankyou (I said with a shy smile) yes, I was born and raised in Sicily Italy and moved to New York when I was 20.

Krista: ok perfect. Do you have any family in the states? Any children? (She said filling out some paperwork.)

Stefania: um no unfortunately my family is in Sicily. I do have a daughter she's 5 months old she's actually sleeping right now. (I said with a chuckle while looking at my room door.)

Krista: aw so cute! I wish my kids were that little! (She said with a smile.)

Stefania: I know. I'm not ready for her to grow up. (I said looking down.)

Stacy: I bet. (She said sweetly.) Ok so the character is for both Grey's Anatomy and station 19. Her name is Carina DeLuca, and she is OBGYN. Carina will appear mostly on Station 19 and here and there on greys. she will have a love interest on station 19. She will be dating Maya Bishop played by Danielle Savre. We don't want to spoil too much for you. (she said smiling.) you know what, I'm going to put myself on mute while I call Krista. we will be right back don't leave ok?

As Stacy was talking, I was getting more and more interested in actually getting this part. It sounded amazing. My dream job.

Stefania: Ok sure I'll be here. Um.. I'm actually going to go check on my daughter I think she's up.( I said hearing Lucy babble in the other room.)

Krista: ok perfect!( She said and went off Camara)

I went to my room and saw that Lucy was awake.

Stefania: Hi Bella. How did you sleep huh?(I asked her as I was quickly changing her diaper. All she did was smile.)

After I was done, I went ahead and placed her on her swing while I gave her the morning bottle and sat back down just in time for Krista and Stacy to come back on.

Stacy: Ok we're back!(she said sitting down). Here's the thing Stefania. We like you. Like really really like you! We would love for you to come to LA and do a table read with the cast and see where things go.

I was speechless for a second. I wasn't sure if i would even get the job. I had to think about Lucy. We didn't have a place to go in LA or knew anyone.

Stefania: I... Um.. when do you need me over there? I will need to buy the plane ticket for me and Lucy and also a hotel room since I know no one in LA.( I said a little nervous.)

Krista: How about we book you a hotel next to the set and buy you your plane tickets? We will have someone pick you and Lucy up from the airport and show you to your hotel?

Stefania: yes that would be great. I just have never been to LA and don't know where anything is.

Stacy: don't worry. We will take care of everything for you.

Stefania: Thankyou so much for this opportunity.(I said at the same time that Lucy let out a little scream loud enough for the lady's to hear)oh I'm so sorry I guess she's done eating.

Krista: Oh my god! Wait can we see her?( She said hopeful.)

Stefania: Ahaha yeah of course hold on.( I laughed nervously while I went to pick her up and went back to the Camara.) This is Luciana or Lucy for short.

Krista: oh my God she's beautiful! ( She said covering her mouth.)

Stacy: oh those cheeks are to die for.( She said waving at Lucy who just enjoyed looking at herself on Camara.)

Stefania: um quick question. Would I be able to take Lucy with me to the table read? I just have never left her anywhere and don't have a babysitter in LA.( I said while bouncing Lucy on my leg while she just sucked on her fingers.)

Stacy: of course. If she's awake or fuzzy we can always have someone from the team watch her. They are all really nice.

Stefania: perfect thank you so much for everything.

Krista:of course! We are really excited for this! We will send you all the information of when you are set to come and the plane ticket as soon as possible! Bye guys.. we look forward to seeing those chubby baby cheeks in person! ( She said while waving at Lucy)

Stacey: take care guys bye!

Stefania: bye thanks again .

As soon as I signed off I felt tears on my face. My dreams are actually coming true!
