Wendy was able to convince you to just go back to the dorm before you raised hell on earth. You felt weird leaving Timmy alone and clueless so later that evening you more or less texted him a synopsis. He said that with whatever mysterious power he had over rumors he would help stop them. As even if it was partially true, Cartman had no business airing that kind of sensitive information to teenage kids.

You were just mad. Why would he spread a rumor about something he has no idea if it's true or not? How would that benefit him, especially after he tried to be friends. Why was Kyle beating around the bush at dinner? 'I guess I should believe him' over just asking you directly. Wendy even alluded to that fact there may have been a sliver of a crush there. But any excited butterflies you had from the confession were clouded by angry wasps wanting to sting Cartman.

Your emotional high had left you exhausted so to your surprise you did sleep well that night, but Wednesday wasn't any better. You were hyper aware of the side glances and whispering that followed you in the halls. However, you kept your head up and tried not to wear it on your sleeve. But somehow the ginger seemed to be picking up on it as he kept giving you concerning glances during class. You thought university would be an academic dream, not a social nightmare.

Kyle was disappointed when Cartman disclosed you only swung one way and it wasn't his. Especially since you seemed to have been flirting back and Stan was absolutely pushing him in your direction. He thought it was secured by that because Wendy would have been pushing Stan. And yet he thought you had decided to confide in Cartman of all people.

But to him you seemed to wake up that Wednesday morning on the wrong side of the bed. You seemed to glare at everyone who even looked in your general direction, but when you caught him looking you seemed to give an unconvincing smile.

He wanted to ask what was wrong so bad. He wanted to invite you out to dinner again just to feel the same spark he did when he thought he had a chance. But Wednesday of all days was anger management days, and it seemed Cartman was doing everything in his power to piss Kyle off, especially today.

"I just don't understand why Wendy would have me encourage you if it wasn't true," Stan said, sitting in his bed watching Kyle cram in some homework.

"Cartman alluded to the fact it was a secret," Kyle shrugged, "Maybe y/n didn't tell Wendy."

"Wendy's barely responding to my texts and I hardly saw her today," Stan frowned at his phone and showed Kyle the messages that had been left on read.

"y/n was skittish every time I saw her today," Kyle recounted, "Maybe Wendy's uncomfortable with a lesbian roommate?"

Stan scoffed, "She wouldn't care about that unless y/n was being creepy. And even if she was, Wendy wouldn't deal with it silently either."

"Why do I even care so much about this!" Kyle exclaimed. This got a chuckle out of Stan but Kyle wasn't amused.

"What girls or your homework?" Stan joked, earning a notebook to be flung in his direction.

"I've only known her a few days, Stan, and somehow she's always there in the back of my mind," Kyle let you a humorless laugh, "I was supposed to hate her."

"Love works in mysterious ways," Stan mumbled, pondering why his own girlfriend was acting so weird. He shot Wendy one last trying text.

"I'm not in love Stan," Kyle flushed, "Having a crush on a lesbian is much less embarrassing than being in love with a lesbian."
