After 'the grand tour' with Cardinal and Sister the eight ghouls returned to the basement level, all of them standing around in a mess of awkwardly placed furniture, no one spoke as they looked at each other. All of them felt sleep ache at their bones; but so much was still in boxes, and what wasn't in a box was out of place.

The basement had a very spacious and open floor plan once you were off the staircase. Five bedrooms- broken up by a bathroom- on the left; with three bedrooms and another bathroom on the right; from wall to wall the basement floor was nearly twice as large as any of the upper level of the church. In the far rightmost corner was a kitchenette, and scattered about the space now was the furniture from the common room and all their instrument things. Based on the thunderous sounds previously- and the lack of boxes- the ghouls had to assume their belongings were behind closed doors with their respective element symbols crudely painted on the front.

The two ghouls who usually had infinite energy - Swiss and Aether- got started on rearranging the common room furniture to something more comfortable and could accommodate their instruments. The other six ghouls did their best to stay out of the way, after a few minutes the group dispersed. Sodo, Rain, and Mountain located their rooms without issue as their elements were very singular. Cumulus and Cirrus went to what they assumed were their rooms, and after opening the doors, the pair walked over to their actual room and smiled when they met in the middle. Sunshine simply spun in a circle for a moment faced with three doors that had the same elements, then remembered her bedding was vastly different than her counterparts; she confidently took off in the direction of Cumulus and was happily surprised to see her grey and cream white bed already made up for her.

With the ghouls condemned to the bathroom the moving company was able to move in and set up the bed frames and larger furniture, and for that each ghouls was thankful they didn't have more work to be put through. Each ghoul had such a distinct style it was easy to tell whose room was who's, and even easier to tell if the boxes in their room didn't belong to any of them. It was just a matter of unpacking, and while the ghouls were thankful to be saved from the hard work, some of them were still upset they weren't given the chance to choose their room on their own.

Rain was the quickest to break off from the group and find his room; tucked in the leftmost corner, between the bathroom and Aether, was his door with an upside down triangle. His bedsheets of dark blues, greys, and blacks were already made; his room key atop his pillow. The water ghoul plopped onto his bed with a heavy sigh of relief, scooping up the key and trying to will calmness into his veins; only to be shocked with a small jump by the sound a door slamming shut farther down.

Sodo found his room to the right of the staircase, right side up triangle above his own head, his room was beside Cumulus. The fire ghoul was at once surprised then annoyed to find his red and black bed already made as it meant someone had gone through his things without him being there. He knew this was stupid to feel since he knew the move was coming, but that only made him more pissed by the situation. Sodo growled and kicked his door shut. Using a claw, fuming, he set about unpacking the closet box, the sooner everything was accounted for the better he would feel.

Cumulus had the room in between the tiny fire ghoul and Sunshine; most of the boxes were stacked waist high around her grey and vibrant blue bed. She found her key on her desk with a small note 'Unpack and rest well, I will see you for your tasks as per normal. S I' , the ghoulette tucked the note into one of her many pockets, then she looked about the mess of boxes in wonder on where to start.

On the other side of the wall; Sunny, who was still proud of finding her room on the first go, thought this process would be easy. But after opening all of the boxes in her room, she realized about half of them weren't hers, her boxes had been misplaced. Sunshine sighed and opened her door wide, kicked a box that she knew belonged to Aether by the stuffed animals to keep it open.
