Day 25:

"The Lady of the Night"

In shadows swathed and cloak enshrouded, I walk the streets with men unbounded,

Their eyes they follow, their desires unmasked, my body, a vessel, a means to be tasked.

I am a creature of the night, whose flesh is sold without respite,

To those who seek my company, a moment's solace from reality.

My skin is marked with scars and shame, my soul a barren, desolate plain,

Yet in this darkness, I find light, my ambition burning, a fierce, unyielding might.

For in this world, a woman's worth, is often measured by her body's berth,

But I am more than flesh and bone, my mind a weapon, my will a throne.

So do not pity or condemn, the life I lead, the men I tend,

For in this darkness, I have found, my power, my freedom, my holy ground.
