A Guy That I'd Kind Of Be Into, a Chyan love story

Chad Danforth and Ryan Evans were very different people with different friends. Rarely interacting and barely acknowledging each other's existence. Little did either of them know that they were about to become very involved in each other's lives.

     It all started when Chad went to visit Troy at rehearsal, finally supporting his friend's new hobby.
"Hey theater kid! " he called out jokingly at Troy who was busy running lines with Sharpay. Laughing, Troy greeted his friend Sharpay,  on the other hand, was not amused by this interruption.
"We're busy, don't you have something better you could be doing?" Sharpay snapped as she crossed her arms, glaring at Chad.
"Sorry Sharpay, just saying hi." Chad laughed rolling his eyes.
"Well if you insist on invading our rehearsal you might as well make yourself useful, go get Ryan from backstage. I need to talk to him." Sharpay insisted. Chad, having nothing better to do, and not really wanting to piss off the ice queen anymore decided he might as well. After making his way backstage Chad ran right into Ryan and stumbled back as Ryan fell backwards. Chad immediately apologized and held out his hand to help him up, luckily Ryan was just fine and laughed as he took Chad's hand pulling himself off the ground.
"It's ok, it's not your fault I wasn't watching where I was going." Ryan assured him.
"To be fair I also wasn't watching where I was going."
"I guess we're even then." Ryan joked. Chad smiled back at Ryan, noticing for the first time how nice Ryan's smile was. Ryan looked down for a moment and realized that he was still holding Chad's hand and awkwardly let go.
"Your sister wanted me to get you."
"Yeah I need to get up there, I was just reviewing some choreography with Martha, so what are you doing here?
"Just came to visit Troy."
"Oh, that makes sense. Hey it was nice talking to you but Sharpay isn't exactly known for being patient so I should get going."
"Goodluck"
It wasn't until after Ryan left that Chad realized how much he had been smiling.

Later that night Chad was hanging out with Taylor at her house. Being with Taylor was not what he expected, she was smart, pretty, kind, and basically perfect but he didn't feel the kind of chemistry that he had heard Troy talk about having with Gabriella. It bothered him but he decided he was just awkward and that Troy was being dramatic anyway. He had never brought this up to Taylor, worried it would upset her. Taylor leaned in and started kissing him, Chad felt guilty once it hit him how uninterested he was.
' This is just an awkward phase I'll get over it and things will be great' he thought to himself. Suddenly Chad started thinking of Ryan from earlier, his crystal blue eyes and that beautiful smile.
'What the fuck?' he thought to himself as he suddenly pulled away realizing that he had just be thinking of Ryan Evans while kissing his girlfriend.
"What?" Taylor asked shooting him an inquisitive look.
"Nothing, I'm just kind of tired. I should head home." He felt awful for lying to her, but he knew saying "sorry it just got awkward when I started thinking of a guy while we were kissing" wasn't the right response.  Chad went home confused as to what had come over him, he decided to just go to sleep and not think about it anymore.
