A Guy That I'd Kind Of Be Into, a Chyan love story

Investigation

Chad and Jason met up to play basketball. Zeke was running a bit late but he would be there soon. Troy was going to go but he was stuck at a late rehearsal. Jason had heard about the breakup, but hadn't said anything yet. He wasn't sure how to bring it up. Finally Zeke got there and went to talk to Jason.
"How is he"
"I don't know man he seems fine"
"You talked to him about it, right?"
"No, I wasn't sure how to ask him without it being weird"
"You are so useless without me" Zeke sighed and went over to talk to Chad since Jason clearly weren't going to do it.
"So Chad... I heard you and Taylor split, I'm sorry man."
"It's ok, it's probably for the best anyway."
"It's ok to be upset...I made you cookies!" Zeke exclaimed, bringing Chad a bag of his favorite cookies.
"No really I'm fine, honestly it was a long time coming. I will definitely still take the cookies though . Thank you, you're the best...also these cookies are the best. Damn. You should bake for me more often" chad replied genuinely grateful for the snack Zeke brought him.
"It's what I'm here for. Seriously So if you ever need to talk I'm right here I know it might be kind of difficult to talk to the other guys sometimes." 
"Thanks man, that really mean a lot." That's when Jason, having successfully avoided talking about feelings, went to join them. 

Taylor and Gabriella sat in Gabriella's room, they were having a sleepover.
"So...do you think he likes Ryan?" Gabriella asked not sure if it was too soon or not.
"I honestly don't know, looking back on it I don't think he was ever super into me, and he has been staring at him a lot, it does seem he could. Come on though, Ryan Evans?"
"Yeah it does sound hard to believe, but I can't think of any other explanation." Gabriella laughed
"We are smart, we can figure this out. It'll drive me crazy until we do. I just want to know what the deal is."
"I know it's wrong to snoop around in other people's lives, but that being said I really want to know what's going on."
"Is it wrong if we don't tell anyone or do anything with the information, I mean what he doesn't know won't kill him besides I want to make sure he figures himself out even if I have to help a little." Taylor asked mischievously
"You're right, but if we have a little investigation we have to swear that it stays between us and we won't let it negatively affect Chad in any way, he is our friend and real friends don't gossip about each other."
"I couldn't agree more." And with that, the two girls started a small investigation into Chad's feelings towards Ryan, only for the sake of their concern and curiosity of course.
