When chad was at home, he decided to call Zeke before he could change his mind. The phone rang twice before he picked up.

"What's up?" Zeke answered

"I uhhhh.....we need to talk. Can you come over?"

"Uhhh okay see you in a minute." Zeke responded mildly concerned before hanging up.

Around ten minutes late their was a knock at Chads door and he quickly went to answer it. Zeke was at the door and Chad let him in.

"Is everything alright?" Zeke asked.

"No....Yes....I don't know. you said I could always talk to you right?"

"Of course you can." Zeke assured him sitting down on Chads couch. Chad followed his lead and sat down opposite to him. Chads mind was racing was he really about to tell someone about this?

"I have a problem...lately I've been finding someone attractive who I really shouldn't be with."

"That's not a problem per se, why can't you be with them?" Zeke asked calmly.

There was a moment of silence before Zeke got a horrified look on his face.

"ITS NOT GABRIELLA IS IT?" Zeke blurted not being able to think of anyone else it could be in that moment.

"What? No!"

Zeke sighed in relief knowing how bad that would be, a cloud of worry overtook him again thinking of another possibility.

"Is it Sharpay?" He asked quietly fearing the answer.

"OH GOD NO.....no offense." Chad exclaimed. Disgusted by the thought

"None taken, but then who is this mystery crush?" He laughed in response.

"Well..." was all chad could get out before he forgot how to English.

After a moment of silence Zeke decided to take a different approach.

"Are they not single?"

"No, they are."

"Are they over age?"

"No."

"Are they a terrible person?"

"Absolutely not."

"Your not related to them are you?!?"

"Gross no!"

"Then what could possibly be the problem?"

The two went back and forth for a while. Chad was trying to work up the courage to admit it, and Zeke was trying to get his friend to confide in him.

"T-they are...a...umm..boy." Chad finally choked out terrified of what his friend would think of him.

"So?" He asked nonchalantly.

Chad did a double take at this before beginning to ramble an explanation.

"We are both guys, it's unnatural. I shouldn't think of him like that, but I do. I can't get him out of my head but even if I could tell him how I feel what would people think of me? Would I loose all my friends? Would my parents throw me out? Would-"

"Dude it's fine, there nothing wrong with liking guys and if anyone disagrees they don't deserve you in their life. I know this is scary but you're going to be ok." Zeke cut him off trying to console his friend.

"Soooo who's the lucky guy?" Zeke asked in a song song voice before Chad could respond.

"Ryan." Chad mumbled almost inaudibly feeling his face flush.

Zeke stared at his friend blankly contemplating what Chad had said to him.

"You know, now that you say something I can totally see it. How long have you liked him?" Zeke asked smiling.

"A while, but I've only just come to terms with it."

"So...are you gay? I don't want to assume."

"Maybe, I don't know yet like I said I'm still figuring this out."

"That's ok....so Ryan? What is it you like about him?" Zeke asked with a smirk.

"If I'm being honest, everything. He is so bubbly and passionate about everything. He lights up every room he enters and..."

Zeke smiled with his head in his hand watching Chad ramble about Ryan thinking about how nice it was to see him so happy.

"Damn dude, you've got it bad." He laughed shaking his head.

"Oh fuck off." Chad laughed in response playfully shoving Zeke off the couch.

Chad was really relieved that Zeke accepted him and happy to finally have someone to talk to about Ryan. It felt like a weight lifted off his shoulders to not have to keep his feelings completely to himself anymore.

"I'm happy for you, thank you for telling me. Do you think he likes you?" Zeke asked

"Probably not." Chad sighed, pouting slightly.

"Hey man, your cool I think any guy would be lucky to have you. Don't sell your self short."

"Thanks Zeke, that means a lot."

They shared an awkward hug and continued to hang out and talk.
