A Guy That I'd Kind Of Be Into, a Chyan love story

Hopeless

Ryan laid face down on the couch in his room thinking of the past couple days when he heard a small knock. He lifted his head to see Sharpay, standing in his doorway with a concerned look on her face.

"Hey, you alright?" She asked in a surprisingly soft voice.

"Yeah." Ryan mumbled putting he his back down on the pillow.

Without asking, Sharpay invited herself into his room and sat next to him on the edge of the couch.

"Are you sure about that?" She retorted with a touch of humor in her voice.

Ryan, accepting she wasn't going to leave him alone, got up to sit next to her properly.

"Yeah Im fine, I just have a lot of things to think about."

"Let me guess, these things include a straight boy you somehow developed a crush on." Sharpay half laughed.

Ryan shot her a dirty look before responding

"You caught me, but.... I actually think he could like me."

"Oh really? What gave you that idea?"

"I'm serious Shar, he's not who we thought he was. He's actually really sweet, and kind, and the other day when we went to movie he actually let me hold his hand! Im glad it was dark because I was definitely blushing. An-"

"Oh my god Ryan, you are completely hopeless." Sharpay cut him off laughing.

"Y-yeah..." Ryan mumbled back

Realizing she had upset him, Sharpay suddenly felt a slight twinge of guilt. Not that she'd ever admit it.

"But maybe not completely hopeless, the holding hands thing is interesting. It also means he probably doesn't have toxic masculinity like I thought he did." She admitted with a slight smile.

"Yeah, and maybe I'm just crazy, I'm starting to get gay vibes from him."

"I hope for your sake you're right, but I just don't want you mixing up your gay-dar and your please be gay-dar."

"Fair enough." Ryan laughed

Once Sharpay was sure her brother was alright she got up and went back to her room, she didn't tell anyone but she swore to herself she was going to figure this out for Ryan's sake. She sat on her massive canopy bed and began to write in her diary.

Dear diary
Ryan is clearly smitten for Chad but I'm not about to let him get his heart broken again, I don't think Chad is even gay let alone interested but Ryan won't listen to me and I'm starting to wonder if he's not so crazy after all, so I'm making it my mission to get to the bottom of this. If Chad Danforth likes my brother even a little bit I'm going to find out about it weather he likes it or not. Until I can be confident Ryan isn't chasing a lost cause im going to continue to remind him of my disapproval. I may not show it like I should but I care about him and don't want him getting hurt again.
