"Hello Satan, I believe it is time to go." ~ Soap&Skin
Quaritch had taken a serious beating the last week. The Sully's didn't quite trust him yet and he didn't blame them. But he truly was there to help them. All he wanted was his son to be happy, he wanted Spider to be happy. He didn't realize how important this child was to him until he didn't have him anymore.
Since the Metkayina didn't have a place to keep prisoners, the Sully's chained him up outside of their pod with Jake and Neytiri taking turns at night keeping an eye on him. The children offered to help at night an allow their parents to get more sleep but the thought of their children being alone with that monster made them sick to their stomach.
Most of the time when it was Neytiri's turn to keep an eye on him, she wasn't kind to him at all. Any chance she got she would punch him, kick him, slap him. You name it, she's done it to him.
Spider had a hard time watching all of this. He understood Neytiri's and Jake's hatred towards him. Hell, he even hated him. Yet, there was a part of him that hated seeing him like this. However, it didn't matter because even Jake and Neytiri wouldn't allow him near Quaritch.
Until now.
Ronal had recently gotten her strength back after the birth of her new daughter, Roa. Named after her Spirit Sister who she'd lost two month prior. Since she had her strength back, Jake and Neytiri had gone over there to talk about what their next steps should be with Quaritch.
Since they knew that Quaritch wouldn't do anything to hurt his son, they allowed Spider to keep an eye on him just this once. Spider had walked up towards his father who was still chained up outside of the pod. He sat down next to him, handing him a plate of fish as they both watched as the Sully's and the Metkayina children played together.
"You really care about Sully's daughter, don't you?" Quaritch questioned, noticing how protective his son was of her and how he looked at her. Spider didn't say anything. Instead, he just looked over at his father, nodding slightly before looking back to the Sully's.
"What are their names?" Quaritch asked, seeming genuinely curious as he watched the children play. A pang of guilt washing over him at the thought of all the harm he'd caused them. They were just kids.
Spider just looked over at his father again, still not saying anything as he glared at him. Why should he tell him anything? He'd never cared about his life before, he'd never cared about the Na'vi before. Why did he suddenly want care to know anything about them?
Quaritch could sense his son's hesitance. His son looking at him the same way he did the first time they met after his death. Quaritch let out a deep sigh, looking back out into the ocean, noticing the bright smile's all of the kids wore.
"I know you're probably a bit skeptical of my intension." He started as he looked back over at his. "But I can assure you, I do want to help."
Spider sighed in defeat, looking back over at the kids who were playing as he introduced them all one by one to his father. "The little one." He started, pointing towards Tuk who was being spun around by Tsireya. "That's Tuktirey, but we call her Tuk."
"Yeah, I remember her. She's got quite the fighting spirit for such a little girl." Quaritch noted to which Spider just chuckled and agreed. Stating that Tuk was a very strong willed child who would not take no for an answer.
"The boy, that's Lo'ak. He's a lot like Jake but I think you've figured that out." Quaritch nodded, a small airy laugh escaping his lips as he recalled their first meeting. That boy truly had a fighting spirit just like his father. He'd be a great asset to have.
