Chapter 34. Parasite Eve

"This is a War." ~ Bring Me The Horizon

Slowly, Quaritch and Erica approached Hell's Gate, both of them feeling the nerves of their situation finally hitting them. "You ready, Lambton?" Quaritch asked as he gripped her braid tighter, causing a hiss to escape her mouth.

"It's Sully." She corrected once again, causing a small chuckle to escape Quaritch's mouth.

As soon as Quaritch spotted Hell's Gate off in the distance, he yanked on Erica's hair and held a knife against her braid as he muttered a quiet, "Get ready."

Erica begun to put up a fight, trying to make it seem as if she was struggling as her hands were tied up in front of her. Those watching from Hell's Gate spotted the two Avatar's and instantly pointed their guns at them.

"Hold it!" Someone shouted from up in the towers, causing Quaritch to halt, tugging aggressively on Erica's braid as she let out a loud hiss. The Colonel held up a single hand, showing that he meant no harm.

"Easy there, fella's. I'm just here to bring this prisoner here to General Ardmore." Quaritch spoke, trying to seem as if he wasn't carrying dozens of C-4's to blow up the base if he got inside.

"State your name!" Someone from the tower shouted.

"Colonel Miles Quaritch!" Silence followed after, not even the squeak of a shoe could be heard as Erica anxiously began to pick at her nails, desperately hoping this plan would in fact work.

Suddenly, the entrance to fort opened up and waiting on the other side was none other than General Ardmore. Her arms were crossed as she stared at the Colonel and Erica as they slowly approached the women who was standing tall with her robotic extensions.

As soon as Erica and Quaritch were within ear shot, the General spoke up with a hint of annoyance in her voice. "You have quite a bit of explaining to do, Colonel." She then turned and begun to walk inside the building, Quaritch following shortly behind.

As the three of them begun to walk, Quaritch begun to spew some bullshit about how he went MIA because he was observing the Sully's and didn't want to call it in because he didn't want to risk the RDA getting involved and ruining everything.

"Oh, and I have Miss Lambton here with us. Who, by the way, happens to be a Sully." The General stopped in her tracks for a moment as she looked over at the girl for a moment. Erica quickly hissed at her but was stopped by Quaritch yanking on her braid again and muttering for her shut up.

A smile graced Ardmores features as she looked back over at Quaritch. "Well done, Colonel." She gave him a nod of approval as they continued to walk through the inside of the base.

Once inside, Quaritch reached his free hand inside his pocket where his throat comm was, he pushed the two buttons together over and over again, causing static to go through to the other side.

Jake listened intently, hearing the sounds of static in his ears, causing them to twitch. And with one simple war cry, every single Na'vi warrior that they had begun to charge towards Hell's Gate. Once the battle could be heard from off in the distance, Tonowari would know to begin attacking.

Varang had let out a war cry of her own, signalling for the Ash Na'vi to attack as they all dove down, readying their bows to aim at the people that were in sight. It was almost as if the sun was being blocked out by the a giant cloud.

But instead of seeing a cloud when the Sky People looked up, they spotted numerous Pandoran creatures. Quickly being followed by the sounds of gun shots and arrows being thrown around like there was no tomorrow.
