"How the hell did that summer break go by so fast?"
"Crazy, right?"
"Yup... Kinda feel bad for Amber in that regard. She had a whole summer with me being around and now when I get home I'll be too tired to do anything with her."
As you can guess, the end of the summer break came and now kids are back to school. Yay.
During that break, he mostly spent time with the girls and his two kids.
Yeah, weird. He has kids and he's still in school.
He shouldn't be there long though, soon he'll be free.
Lucy is working on the immortality thing, so that will take a little while.
As for both Krampus and Amber, they formed an alliance. He was an adoptive father to them both and so they agreed to at least try and make life easier for him.
He says he regrets agreeing to raise them, but he's a lying sack of shit.
He'd kill for them and that's a fact.
He noticed Hana and Broji enter the room.
"So. How's the parent role been treating you?" Hana asked him.
"Horrible. Krampus is an adorable troublemaker. And Amber? Well, she definitely has similarities to Zold and Ophis, but even though it's been about three months, not even, since she was born, she's taking a lot of shit from my book."
"So you're a good dad, but a horrible influence. Awesome." Broji commented.
"If that's what you think. Though, I'm trying to keep her more tame than I am...."
"What's up man?" Broji asked.
"You're giving me a bad feeling Zane. What's wrong."
".... Devil stuff... Think about it. She's the daughter of the most powerful Dragon God in existence."
"... I'm guessing you've met a few bad people that were after her?"
"More than you think. I've been keeping her safe, but someone knows she exists, and they want her for who she is. I dunno their plans, but it's all piling on. First this sword business and now this. It kinda has me worried."
"Sounds rough, but I'm sure you'll manage it." Hana reassured him. "So what's a dragon daughter like?"
"Violent sometimes. She burnt a couple of holes in the carpet, so now we have wooden floors. And yes, my adopted daughter breathes fire. She also likes sneak attacks."
"Sneak attacks?"
"Yes. Like yesterday, when I was making pancakes."
-Flashback-
Taker was having a calm and peaceful evening that some Irish guy probably feels jealous of.
He was making pancakes in peace when suddenly-
"Surprise attack!"
He felt a pair of arms wrap around his head, covering his eyes.
"... Amber. Why are you attached to my head?"
"You're the enemy! I'm taking you down by surprise!"
"You sure you wanna do this?"
"Yep!"
"Positive? Because I'm warning you Amber, when I fought back, I'm not gonna show mercy. I'm gonna treat you like I would any other girl that attacks me."
