It had been a few days since Miranda proposed in the worst way to Irene, leaving the red head to wonder what she could do. It was all too sudden and too soon for any of this. They didn't know each other very long and marriage was a thought too quick this early in a relationship. Irene only did what she was asked and could think while she attended meetings with Miranda to speak with the other four houses. Word had gotten around that Miranda proposed to Irene within their little family, angering a few to say the least. Some more sad and depressed for Irene's well-being. Miranda was the only one who was pleased with her little proposal plan, not caring what Alcina nor Donna thought of the situation. It was a right mess to say the least. Irene's face was inevitably unhappy and unsure about the arrangement with Miranda. The news that Miranda knew her birth name and history baffled her, but there were a few wrong details in the matter. She was told she was an illegitimate child of her birth parents, which was not true at all. Preferably her adopted parents as soon as they told her of the adoption also spoke of the reason why Irene was given up as a baby. Irene was to be Miranda's replacement for her daughter Eva as agreed upon with Oswell many years ago. As her birth parents discovered the truth behind the reason for Irene's birth and being the only female born into the family for decades, they secretly gave her up to a normal family. The Smith family. And it saved Irene up till now. Now that she was too old to be Eva's replacement, Irene would be Miranda's long life partner. The first girl in the Spencer family given to the cultist Mother Miranda. It was really a sight to behold with everyone else. Karl noticed immediately the ring on Irene's finger instead of the necklace she formerly wore, disgusted with Miranda and her decision to make Irene part of the cult. Alcina already found out the day after Irene was proposed to and knew she was too late to claim the red headed girl as her own. Donna still tried to have hope with her and Irene leaving that place for good, but in short terms she was heartbroken over the proposal. Moreau, on the other hand, he was just livid with Irene and wanted her out of the picture. He thought she was out to steal Miranda from him but it was evident that she was not.

One evening that Irene walked back home alone, she found Karl standing close to the chapel where Irene met Miranda the first day. When she tried to ignore him and walk away, Karl seemed unhappy and asked in a demanding voice, "Where do you think you're going, little lady?"

Irene turned fully to Karl and made her way over slowly, trying to seem unafraid of the man but she failed. Her hands were shaking slightly and she had that nervous feeling in the pit of her stomach. "Going home. What does it look like?" Irene knew this was a bad idea to get smart with the man who could manipulate metal, as well as controlling the Lycans. He was interested in Irene since the day they first formally met. Like Alcina he was out for her alone.

"A little too late to go back there pet. She won't let you leave. She will find you." He smirked as Irene stopped in front of him, dragging on his cigar a little before blowing the puff of smoke away from her face. She twisted her face in disgust, scoffing a little before crossing her rigid arms across her chest, "I wasn't leaving. I know she would find me. It's pointless..."

Karl chuckled and used one hand to stroke Irene's face gently all the down to her neck. It made her cringe mentally but Irene had to stay strong in her face when dealing with Karl Heisenberg. He wasn't bullshitting her this time, grinning in his own charismatic way, "Then where are you really going pet? You know there are nasty things out there. Big bad wolves and all that.~"

She pushed his hand away from her neck with defiance, moving closer to stand her ground, "As I said...home. Why is that any of your business?" And that's where she made a mistake. Karl dropped his hammer to the ground and before Irene could move away he pinned her to the side of the chapel's wall with a loud thud. He pushed her so hard it knocked the air out of her body for a moment. The cigar smoke was making Irene feel nauseated and Karl took it away to move closer, smelling the fear on her body.
