"I-I'm sorry...what did you fucking say...?" Miranda turned to Irene with a confused but frustrated expression on her face. Irene came home that night smelling like blood and Miranda knew something had gone down with Alcina Dimitrescu besides just her normal visit. "Let me get this straight, Irene. You want to become part of the family but you want to...to..."

"I want you to mix a bit of your Cadou and Alcina's in me. I have a choice to decide what I want remember? If I can't have that there's no deal." Irene stood firm on this matter and watched as Miranda's face twist and contorted in disgust. She knew this would make her mistress upset but not like this. It was a tough decision for sure. Irene could see this was not part of Miranda's plan at all. She didn't expect any of this. "Please, Miranda. This is all I'm asking for from you."

"No! Absolutely not! We did not agree on this Irene. That wasn't..."

"Part of the plan? It may not be part of the plan you want but it's part of what I want. Can you really not do that one thing for me?"

She sighed and paced about, thinking more into this idea Irene had. It wasn't what she had planned no, but Irene would be happy this way? Miranda didn't want to give up her full rights to Irene. It's not like she could win this argument with the girl over being happy.

"Unless you'd rather I leave? I could also do that so I'm not in your hair anymore."

At those words Miranda turned her head to Irene's direction, icy blue eyes staring with shock. "No! If you tried to leave you couldn't get away from me either!" Her hands clenched so hard the tips of the finger guards embedded into her skin. She wouldn't give up Irene for anyone nor did she want her to leave. Irene stood there with her arms crossed and waited for an answer. Miranda could see it in her eyes that her mind was made up on the matter. She sighed and shook her head, muttering something under her breath before looking back at Irene. "Fine...but you stay with me majority of the time. I'll share you with that monstrous woman but I won't like it. If that's all you have to ask of me...we can get started immediately...Follow me."

Miranda directed the girl over to a table where there were many vials and papers scattered about. She searched for something in the pile about merging Cadou into one person. "This isn't going to be easy, I hope you know. Merging Cadou isn't something I have tried in a long, long time. The last time that I did that the person died. It's that big of a risk."

"You mean it's been done once but no one successfully embraced it?" Irene followed and stopped, taking a look at the paper in Miranda's hands. Notes were scribbled down on the paper about the previous test subject.

"That's right. No one has but maybe I can try to see what can be altered or worked around. It's a high risk to losing your life and if you die then that's it. You wouldn't see the light of day again. I just want you to know what kind of consequences are in store if you do this."

To live and only be merged with one set of a Cadou genes would be more than enough but two? Overkill. Irene knew she wanted this but it was risky business. She stood in thought for a while, Irene's mind going back to what Karl said about escaping. She only had one chance to get out. A chance she couldn't risk missing. Maybe this was that chance. "I understand and I still want to try. It couldn't hurt and maybe I could be the first one to survive...?"

"We'll see how you fair during the transfer. Only then time will tell. For now I'll prep and we will hold a meeting on the matter. After that the transfer will begin. Come now." Miranda made her way out of the room, leaving Irene to look around one last time before she began to follow. Who knew where this would lead?

Later that evening during the meeting, Miranda had announced that Irene would be part of their family. It struck Donna and Karl with surprise when the news hit their ears. Not to mention the merging of two Cadou genes into Irene's body was a shock to Alcina. She was going to take what she could get no matter what Irene chose to do. It didn't bother her much. Just the thought of Irene staying was more than enough to make Miranda and Alcina happy. On the way out, Donna pulled Irene aside with her to talk.
