Chapter 8: Rising Up In The Guild

After dezso got his new citizenship, he went to find a house for him to live at. He didn't want to stay in a fancy house, just somewhere where he can go back to and store all his things. Dezso agreed to only use his stash of money just this once so that he can buy the house.

After awhile of house searching. Dezso managed to find a cheap apartment that had two bedrooms, one living room and one kitchen and one bathroom. Perfect for dezso who was living alone.

Dezso- so... This is my new home huh.

However, dezso ran into another problem, the house didn't have any furniture. And since he didn't have any money that he could use yet. He decided to use his powers to create the furniture he needed, things like beds and shelfs. After he was done furnishing the place, dezso made one more vow. To try and minimise the usage of his power outside of training. Dezso also thought of his power as unfair.

After finally getting all that done, dezso went to sleep. Deciding that he'll start on the quest he's accepted tomorrow.

It was the next morning, and on this fine day in gamindustri. A strong wind was blowing through Planeptune, causing everyone to shout in surprise. However this was not natural wind, this wind was actually caused by dezso running super fast.

Dezso- *telepathic* "let's see, this quest says to kill three dogoos in virtua forest, in fact most of my quests actually take place in virtua forest."

Gloria- *telepathic* "hm. It's most likely that the guild branch of planeptune usually only gives quest that are in the domain of planeptune, it's very rare for an adventurer in Planeptune to be commissioned to other countries."

Dezso- *telepathic* "then I  should be able to complete these quests rather quickly. The quests are quite simple and they almost all take place at the same place."

Gloria- *telepathic* "yes, I believe we should stay in virtua forest to complete all the quests there before heading out to the other places.

Dezso- *telepathic* "alright then, let's head to virtua forest. "

And so dezso sped up even more and quickly made his way to virtua forest. When he got there he immediately got to work. First he had to kill three dogoos, when he found three dogoos, he made quick work of them by poking them again. Next, he had to collect some materials that were only dropped by a specific monster. Luckily since dezso is very experienced in fighting monsters, he recognized the material and knew which monster to hunt for. After he found the right monsters, he quickly dispatched them with one hit.

Dezso kept on doing this for the rest of the quests that he did in virtua forest. If he had to kill monsters, he'll just kill them in one hit. If he needed to find some materials, he would almost immediately figure out where it is. And so in just three hours, dezso managed to complete all the quests that he had in virtua forest.

Dezso- phew, I think that about does it for the quests in virtua forest. What's next?

Gloria- now we have some requests that came from the citizens of planeptune.

Dezso- requests? I didn't know requests could be considered as quests.

Gloria- well it might be more common here since we are E rank.

Dezso-  I see.

And so dezso quickly dashed back to Planeptune so that he could fulfill the requests of the citizens. In his first request, his client wanted dezso's help to move some heavy furniture to his new apartment. Dezso quickly agreed of course and began carrying the heavy furniture with ease, he made sure to only take as much as the doorway could fit of course. The client and his family was impressed by dezso's strength.
