Chapter 35: Hanging Out With The Planeptunian Crew(part 3)

It's now the third day ever since Dezso and his family stayed together with Neptune and the others at the Basilicom. Thanks to Dezso's efforts, Neptune managed to get most of her overdue work done, and was now back to her lazy, slacking off ways.

Neptune- Hey! I heard that meanie!

Ignoring that. Although Neptune has seemingly went back to normal, Dezso would never forget what he saw yesterday.

Dezso- *thoughts* "Neptune seems to have returned to her cheery self, but I still cannot ignore what I saw yesterday. That face, that reaction, and the immediate change after. There is clearly something deeper that I am not seeing here. Though I do not know what it is, I do know one thing. She is suffering beneath that mask, and I wish to help her... "

Kanna- *tired* Papa... I'm done...

Dezso- *smile* oh, so you are, well done Kanna.

Dezso then pats Kanna on her head which made her smile tiredly. Oh and for those who are wondering what those two are doing now, Dezso is currently training Kanna. After Kanna's transformation back then, Dezso has made it his goal to make sure that Kanna can properly control this power of hers. Kanna was originally against it as she didn't like her dragon side, but Dezso assured her that her power can be used for good, to save others just like how she saved him. And so with some convincing, Kanna agreed and began her training. Just now, she was done doing three sets of ten push ups.

Nepgear- Mr. Dezso! Kanna! Here are some refreshments if you like.

In the middle of their training, Nepgear walked in to give out snacks and drinks for Dezso and Kanna.

Dezso- Thank you Lady Nepgear, we are most grateful. Kanna, let's take a break for now. After this we shall commence with your meditation.

Kanna- *tired* okay... Thank you miss Nepgear.

And so Dezso and Kanna prepared to eat their snacks and drinks, as Dezso saw that Nepgear was about to leave, he asked her.

Dezso- why don't you join us Lady Nepgear. I'm sure Kanna would love to have your company.

Nepgear- *surprised* join you? Uhh.. I don't know about that, I do need to get back to doing what I was doing before and-

Before Nepgear could continue, Kanna hit Nepgear with the puppy eyes.

Kanna- *puppy eyes* pleeeaasssee...

Upon seeing this, Nepgear felt a very strong and sudden ache in her chest as Kanna continued to look at her with her puppy eyes. Eventually, Nepgear caved in and agreed to join.

Nepgear- okay okay Kanna, anything for you.

And so Nepgear sat opposite Dezso while Kanna was sitting on Dezso's lap. Together, they enjoyed the various treats that Nepgear has brought for them. Nepgear and Kanna really got along with each other, with the two of them constantly smiling and laughing together as they conversed. Dezso was happy to see that Kanna was making more friends. In the middle of their conversation, Dezso stepped in and called out to Nepgear.

Dezso- Lady Nepgear, you mentioned before that you were busy with something did you not?

Nepgear- uhm, yes, why?

Dezso- *smile* Then would you allow me to assist you after I am done with Kanna's training? Think of it as my way to repay you for treating us with these delicacies.

Nepgear- *surprised* huh?! You want to help?... I don't know...

Seeing as how Nepgear was hesitant with him coming along, Dezso decided to push Nepgear to accepting.
