Chapter 10: A Hangout

It's been three months since dezso last visited fauna in her sanctuary. Since then dezso has not seen or heard from her once, but dezso was sure that she was fine. After what she said about bringing her family back, dezso was sure that she is now tirelessly working towards that goal.

Anyways, in these three months, quite a few changes happened to dezso. First, he started to speak a lot more wiser in a sense. Being around society has naturally taught him how to speak fluently in his own way, and thanks to Gloria teaching him here and there, dezso's vocabulary has increased, making him sound a lot wiser than before.

Another thing that changed was dezso's adventurer rank. Three months ago, he was a D rank. But now, dezso is B rank adventurer who has completed 70 B rank quests. He is officially the one who has risen up the ranks the fastest. There's really much to say other than the rank up test. The rank up test was just fighting stronger and stronger monsters. For instance, for the C rank test, he had to fight giant dogoos, some crab monsters, insect monsters,etc. And as for the B rank test, he had to fight cyber whales, dolphins, and a few medium sized machines. While these would be deadly to an ordinary adventurer, to dezso it was even less intense than his morning workout so he passed the tests with flying colours.

Today, dezso was heading to the guild again to try and complete more quests. But what he didn't expect was that there was going to be some complications.

Dezso- Natalie.

Natalie- oh hi danzel!

Oh and also, dezso and Natalie have also gotten closer as friends over the last three months. Once Natalie learned that dezso was a good listener, she began looking for him whenever she had something to vent about. Due to dezso attentively listening to her and giving advice when needed, Natalie was a lot more cheerful when she was working.

Dezso- I'm here to accept some quests again.

Natalie- before that danzel... I've been meaning to ask you something.

Dezso- oh? What is it Natalie?

Natalie- I've noticed this quite some time ago but at that time I didn't address it but... Danzel, have you ever taken a break before?

Dezso- a... Break?

Natalie- yes! Because I feel like you've come here everyday without fail to accept quests! Even on my day offs, I heard that you still come to take more quests. Maybe that's why you became B rank in just a few months, but haven't you... You know, stopped for a day to relax?!

Dezso thinks back, trying to find the answer to Natalie question. After thinking for awhile, dezso answered Natalie.

Dezso- well no... That's because I've never really needed a break. People only take breaks when they are tired, and since I'm not tired, I haven't taken a break yet.

Natalie- B-but what about rest?!

Dezso- don't worry Natalie, I make sure to always get eight hours of sleep to rest my body. So I assure you that I am fine.

Natalie was speechless at dezso's attitude and simply slumped her head down, after awhile, she spoke again.

Natalie- that's it, wait for me here and don't go anywhere, got it!

Dezso was slightly surprised at Natalie's sudden outburst, but he nodded his head in agreement before Natalie went off somewhere. After awhile, Natalie came out from the receptionist desk and walked towards dezso, she then grabbed dezso's hand and tried to drag him somewhere. But because dezso was too strong, Natalie couldn't make him budge an inch. After trying a few more times with dezso just staring at her in confusion. Natalie gave up and said.
