The first few nights of our journey has been rough, we encountered several hard to tame dragons, I already had to buy five pairs of clothing at the past town.

We needed to take a break for now. If we couldn't make it to the next town we need to take refuge in the woods.

Xenoch was badly wounded of our last encounter. My clothes had holes and burnt marks nobody would've thought it was actually a shirt.

The next town was only a few miles away. I hope we still have money to rent out a room that fits both of us. Sneaking a dragon inside a heavily guarded town would be suicide. Maybe bribing the guards would work, then again we don't have much money left.

I finally saw the town. It's streets glowed bright orange but nobody seemed to roam the streets. I smelled fresh strawberries and pastries. The town was quite amazing I might say. It's walls were bulky and heavily guarded with watch towers and guards. Strawberry fields lay across around it making the town less intimidating than it already was. We passed the heavily guarded gates. Good.. I hope we could find a place to stay without paying for it. We landed at an isolated alley and no guards seemed to patrol that streets that night. We made our way to another turn, eventually we got lost and made turns that led us to dead ends and junk filled alleys. For a few more turns we stumbled across a barn. No one seemed to be in here so I guess this was the place we were looking for. Xenoch fell flat on the ground. His right hind leg was bleeding and needed immediate treatment right away.

"I will be right back." I said "I'll go get something to ease off the pain."

I left Xenoch and locked the barn door so nobody could find him.

I broke a window off on one of the gates' and leaped over and made my way to find some herbs.

Think Hitch think! What would ease off pain of a pierce wound?

I scanned the fields of different herbs and medicinal plants but I can't find the herb I was looking for.

What was the name again? Something like shade... Nightshade! That's it! I remember my squadron using this on their wounds.

I plucked a couple of Nightshade off and looked for water to wash the wound.

When I finally had some water with me I went back to the barn. Xenoch was still doing fine and was now fast asleep. I mended his wounds and wrapped his leg with some of my destroyed clothing. When I was finally done I laid beside him and looked at the list of dragon trainers.

This was the last town we needed to get through until we met the first dragon trainer. Her name was Emily Hastur and her dragon was a Treesnape. Treesnapes are known for there tracking and camouflage. These creatures are very hard to find and often hide from people. She must be a veteran dragon trainer to tame a Treesnape.

I folded the list and decided to go to sleep. The night is so bright again today, just like the night when Xenoch saved me from execution.

I brushed his dragon skin. His skin was so warm compared to other dragons I've met. He was so fast asleep he forgot he was badly wounded.

I thought of a plan about what we we are going to do tomorrow. We needed money for food and my clothing as well, I needed to buy leather armor so I wouldn't have to deal with burnt clothes again. This place seemed like a town of fine smithing and I thought that the food here was divine.

I took one last look at our bag and counted how much money we have left.

Only 39 coppers left. Dang it, this will only get us a few days or short. I need to pull something off that will get us through for 3 more weeks. If I don't then we are in a heap of trouble. Stop.. I'm over thinking..

I've lain down once again beside my reptilian friend. I stopped thinking and let the night take me to rest.
