13 | The Secret Garden

Nikolai's POV:

I looked at her watching over the balconey.

Her legs tilted slightly. Her arms laid upon the stone wall.

Her head looked up at the fountain. She watched the water flow gently.

And the beautiful trees blow in the wind.

Her goregous brown hair followed the trees.

I couldn't help but have these thoughts flow through my brain.

I was mad. Hell I was furious.

But. She looked like princess Tiana. Someone who knew what she wanted. Someone who was a lot more stronger than she wanted to admit to.

I could tell.

I have been standing here for the past 5 minutes. And how she hasn't seen me, is a little strange.

But honestly, it's probably more strange that I am just standing here looking at her when she is the last person I should be even thinking about.

Ellie's POV:

"What the hell are you doing back here?" I heard a voice say.

A sharp breath came from my chest as I turned around fastly.

My eyes met with Nikolai's as annoyance began to grow now.

I rolled my eyes and turned my head back to the fountain.

"So your not even going to answer me after you just stormed out on the party?" He said as he walked next to me.

His body was facing me, but I wouldn't answer him.

His body tensed up as he immediately grabbed my wrist and turned me to stare into his eyes.

"Look at me when I am talking to you damn it!"

I whipped my wrist out his grip. "Don't you dare touch me you asshole!"

He scoffed. "Oh. I'm the asshole? You just told a guy off at the party that happened to be one of my clients!"

I sighed. "What was I suppose to do? Let him talk about me like I wasn't even standing their?!" I said waiving my arms around.

His fingers ran through his black locks. "I am not saying that. But do you understand what you have done! You THREATNED him Ellie! And not just any threat. You threatened to KILL him."

I rolled my eyes and waived my hand. "It's the least I could say. He deserves to be rotting in a grave after he disrespected me and my family."

Nikolai quivered his lip as he paused to take a deep breath.

I turned my body to face him.

"Look. I am not saying what he did was right at all. He had NO right to talk to you that way. And he is lucky I don't go kick his ass myself. But. You have to be smarter than that Ellie. I am only trying to protect you."

"God! I don't need fucking protection! I just want to get the fuck out of here Nik. Please."

My eyes pleaded to him. My breathing began to hasten.

My chest began to heave up and down.

"No." He said.

I tilted my head towards him.

"No? What the fuck. I am leaving whether you like it or not. I did my part, I showed up to this dumass party. Now I am leaving."

I tried to walk past him, but a hand on my waist immediately stopped me in my tracks.
