Ellie's POV:
Nikolai didn't say practically a word the whole way to the hotel, until I finally broke my piece.
I tried to stay silent, but my conscious was practically BEGGING me to say something to him.
"What the hell happened back their?" I blurted out.
Nik still didn't say anything, but as I observed him and his body, I realized his grip on the steering wheel got a little bit tighter.
"What did your dad say to you?" I asked gently.
I knew it had been to his father because of what Rena said, before we left.
Without any warning, I watched as he touched the blinker button, before he began to pull over on the side of the road.
Mountain surrounded us, as clouds began to cover the sun, blocking some of the light from hitting us and the car.
When the car came to a stop, Nikolai didn't dare look at me, and instead he looked down like he was defeated.
"What is wrong?" I asked with worry, as I suddenly moved my hand to his arm, not even thinking twice.
His eyes squeezed tighter together, as he couldn't even look at me in the eye.
"Hey. I am here for you. You know that right?"
His eyes began to open slowly, as his head moved to my direction.
My eyes met his, as I stared deeply into his, trying to figure out what was wrong. He was acting different. And normally his emotions never got the best of him, but this time they did.
"My parents have had problems for a long time." He began to say before sighing out, and that's when my heart stopped and I knew their was more to the story than what I saw.

Nikolai's POV:
Her eyes looked into mine with concern while it took every ounce of energy to look at her.
I didn't want to her to worry about me. I didn't want her to be sad or anxious.
I wanted to see that precious smile on her face every single day, and watch as she shined under the sunlight.
I also knew, that I couldn't hold this in any longer. No one ever knew about what had happened between my family. Not even the rest of the Mafia world.
Everyone thought we were this upright, headstrong family, when in reality it was pure hell.
Which is why I couldn't wait until I turned 18 so I could get the hell out of there.
He made it a living hell, not my mother.
He decided to break my mother's trust and ours by sleeping with not one, not two, and not even three prostitutes. He decided that he was going to betray her.
He decided that he was going to break her heart. And no amount of fucking sorry's can make up for that.
You apologize by your actions, and he sure as hell didn't do that.
I had been so reluctant to tell anyone about this for the longest time. But its time.
It's time that everyone knows about what a shitty father and husband he truly is.
I don't care who finds out at this point.
Not Ellie. Not Anthony. No one.
"My mom and dad used to be the perfect couple when they were my age. They did cute stuff, acted perfect. And eventually got married and had me and Rena. But soon after, we noticed that things were off with my father. He started drinking more, getting mad at me and my family for the most ridiculous things, and just was being very hatred all the time." I said as her eyes continued to watch me and my movements.
