I'm picking up a bouquet of flowers on my way to Marlene Knight's house as she has invited me to join the family on a get-together. I love smelling flowers and they look so pretty in a nice vase, should have ordered some for myself as as well.

Guilt suddenly strikes me as my taxi cab pulls up the driveway. I should have made more of an effort to visit Marlene since Jon's passing but it felt strange being here without him and Jordan struggled to come so I stayed away like a coward.
I'm enveloped in a motherly hug when Marlene greets me. "Thank you darling for these beautiful flowers, you really didn't have to. No wonder why my sons are so enamoured by you." I blush at her kindness. "How are you doing Marlene? Thank you for inviting me."

We continue to catch up before she's called to see to something one of her grandchildren need help with. I wonder round to see who's here. The first person I bump into is Alison; Jon and Jordan's sister. She greets me with a warm welcome and a hug. We too chat about life. The more I look at her, the more I realise how alike she is with Jon and Jordan, she's like in between them, looks wise. Beautiful. They all have good genes in the Knight family. This leads me to think about how Jon never got the chance to be a father, he would have been a wonderful, loving one just like he is with his fur babies. Thinking about Jordan, any children he has will be blessed and extremely adorable if they happen to take after him. Okay I shake my head to push all these thoughts of Jordan being a father because I don't want to let myself get carried away with myself. I go to look for a drink, around here somewhere and I find there's a makeshift bar in the barn.
