Belief is so Human

Aida absorbed the Multiversal Core energy from Danny Rand. The Bendu appeared before her and frowned in anger. Aida was startled by the strange beast wondering if it originated from K'un-Lun.

"You are tampering with the natural order of events. Creating an imbalance in the Force. Rey Fitz must remain in her pod inside the Multiversal Core until the appointed time. You are not meant to use her great power to access the World Between Worlds the time isn't ready for that."

Aida stared at the strange lion like creature and could feel through her power that the Bendu was composed entirely of the Force. He wasn't connected to the Multiversal Core or K'un-Lun but he somehow managed to have a more accurate sense of it than the Jedi Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger. She fired a blast of lighting at the creature but it teleported. He appeared behind Aida and she was forced to stop her draining of the remainder od Danny Rand's powers. She enveloped the Bendu in flames but he repelled them blasting her into the wall.

"Daniel Rand you are the immortal Iron Fist trained in the usage of spiritual powers connected to the Force by Lei Kung the Thunderer of K'un-Lun. You must awaken for my abilities are weakened the further I am from the headquarters of the Rebel Alliance and I cannot hold off Aida any longer. Remember K'un-Lun and what you were taught there so that you can overcome Aida's power and destroy her. Thus returning things to their proper balance in accordance with the Force's will." The Bendu proclaimed

Danny woke up and saw Aida use gusts of wind to repel the Bendu. He connected briefly with Colleen sending her a spiritual signal of his location. Then he turned to face Aida and gasped. He realized it was too late as the dull orange portal on the wall glowed a bright orange. The Multiversal Core was active and Aida pulled a cryogenic chamber from inside that housed a small girl with a white tunic and gray hand wrappings around her arms. Danny accessed his Iron Fist and threw a violent punch with his glowing Fist. The energy from the punch knocked Aida across the underground chamber. A small hole in her chest smoked and crackled with burn marks. Danny exhausted crawled to the chamber and placed his arm over it while struggling to remain on his feet.

"What are you doing? Why are you getting medical supplies from the Captain's office?" Misty asked

Claire turned around and saw Misty standing over her with her arms folded.

"Malcolm Ducasse is suffering from some form of internal bleeding and I...needed to get some ice for him to stop the swelling." Claire lied

Misty frowned and shook her head.

"You're a distraction for Murdock aren't you?"

"No...I'm a distraction for Luke and Jessica. Ugh...I knew it was a bad idea and I thought you'd figure it out. But they insisted they needed to take Murdock and find a way out of the city. They know you are investigating the Hand and they don't think you can stop them. So they're taking Matt and running."

Chopper appeared behind Misty and Claire struggled to maintain her composure as Colleen's sword was in one of his claws. Misty turned around and saw nothing there.

"Jones and Cage have escaped custody with Murdock as a hostage. Sweep the streets to find them and ensure that they're brought back." Misty said into her radio

"I'll go back to the main office area with the others." Claire replied sheepishly

Claire however snuck past the main office area and followed Choppper to the back door of the precinct.

"Don't worry. Misty bought the lie. We can move out. You sure Chopper can access the IED explosives?" Claire asked Colleen

"Yes. The Rebel Alliance is counting on  us. We disarm the explosives and re-arm them to collapse Midland Circle. Danny is underground with Aida probably being tortured. We get him out and then we bury the Hand underground. It'll create a huge scene that'll draw the attention of a lot of important Imperials which will give the Rebels a window into destroying the TIE Defender Factory." Colleen explained

"Simmons approved this plan even with her daughter Rey at risk?" Claire asked

"The Defenders will make sure Aida doesn't touch Rey. We just got to be ready for when they help us get Danny out."

"Belief is so human. It's a weakness that isn't rewarded. I believed I could understand humanity but I was wrong. Humanity is broken and only the Multiversal Core can fix humanity. It can give them the one thing they are missing. For you Danny you want a normal life free of the burden that comes from being an Iron Fist. I can give that to you. There's no need to fight me." Aida explained as her body healed from Danny's earlier attack

Danny looked at Aida in horror. He realized none of the attacks he performed with the Iron Fist would do any damage. Danny wasn't sure what to do next as Aida gave a confident smile. Danny clenched his fist and thought carefully about his next move.
