It had been almost three entire days of trying to find an unsub who had been abducting and murdering women in their twenties, and you still had zero leads.

You were all feeling extremely overworked and completely helpless, and it was only 8:30 in the morning. You had never gone this long without a single hint of who the unsub might be.  When it got to lunch time and you still didn't have anything, you all decided to scrap your profile and completely start over.

You knew you were working with a male unsub, the ME had found trace amounts of semen on each of the victims stomachs, you infered that he is impotent because they found no other signs of sexual assault on any of the four victims. Each of the victims were killed in their apartments, but there were no signs of forced entry. With that information you found that he was probably a good-looking early twenties to mid thirties white male, knowing that the victims exes were almost all white, so it wouldnt be unusual for them to let someone like that into their homes.  Each of the victims went to different colleges in the area, so the unsub was most likely a student or faculty member to one or all of the universities.

By now you and your team had been brainstorming and bouncing ideas off of eachother for a long ass time, you hadn't even realized it was dark out already. After Hotch said you should go back to the hotel and get some sleep you said "Anyone hungry? I heard theres a great thai place like 10 minutes from the hotel!" After everyone said yes and jj said "Ah y/n you know me soooo well!" you all split into two different SUVs, With Emily driving and Spencer in the passenger seat, you and JJ sat in the back. After a few minutes of sitting quietly you noticed jayje was trying not to fall asleep, humming softly along to the radio. You reached out and put your hand on her right shoulder, carefully pulling her in to your chest so she could get some sleep. You thought she was already fast asleep, but when she got comfy she said "thank you princess" in the cutest sleepy voice ever and you could feel yourself blushing.

After smiling to yourself for like 30 seconds emily said "God why dont you two just fuck already!?"
With that you successfully choked on your own spit and turned even redder than before, making the two up front giggle to eachother. You most certainly had feelings for your partner that were more than platonic, since she and will had broken up after he refused to father his child that she was, and still is very much pregnant with, you had grown impossibly closer. You drove her to and from work every day, always made sure she had food in her fridge and cabinets, even stayed with her most nights incase she needed something during the night. You had basically become a personal maid, but you didn't mind at all. JJ was always there for you when you needed her, and now you were returning the favor. You had been spending so much time with her that you had learned her different cravings each week, like how she was constantly craving thai food, or how she loved to eat ice cream with capers. Even though you had a weak stomach and were pretty much completely disgusted you always had a smile on your face when you were around her, and you guessed that people were starting to notice, hence the comment from emily.

After eating, you and the rest of the team headed back to the hotel and you finally got to sleep at around 2 am. 

You woke up the following morning at around 6 am and hopped in the shower before drying your hair, not caring enough to straighten it, you were barely awake after a measly 4 hours of sleep. After you finished getting dressed you went downstairs and got some coffee for you and JJ, not realizing she was already at the station until you knocked on her door and she wasnt there, aswell as none of your other teammates being in their rooms. You checked your watch and realized it was already almost 8, and you were supposed to be there by 8:15. Running outside you realized neither of the SUVs were there, so you called an uber and made it to the station just before 8:15. You ran inside and everyone was already in the room you had set up 4 days before, all looking exhausted and burnt out. You opened the door and said "Why the hell did nobody wake me?!?" and everyone turned to you. "Wow" was the only answer you got, everyone staring at you, you think you saw JJ blush a little even, but you brushed it off. You took a look at yourself and found nothing wrong so you said "earth to fbiiiiii?" and they all snapped out of their trance, JJ was the first one to talk. "Sorry its just um.. your hair looks-" "Ohhh yeah sorry I didnt have the time or energy to straighten it and I just-" you started but were cut off by JJ, "y/n it looks great, Its just Ive never seen your hair curled before so it was surprising is all." " oh uh thanks its not curled tho, it just looks like that when I let it do its own thing." When you were done rambling Spencer said "And by the way we did try to wake you like 30 times but you didnt answer and we thought you were already at the station, and when we got here and you weren't here we each tried calling you but you didnt answer so-"
