You were only awoken from your trance when you felt a soft hand rest itself on your shoulder.

Your whole body tensed, every feeling of warmth and comfort from the night was gone in an instant. You thought you would at least have a couple days before having to see her, but here she was, sitting down next to you with an exasperated look on her face.

The two of you sat there for a few minutes, neither of you saying a word. After a while you were becoming agitated, why would she come find you if all she wanted to do was sit there and do nothing? A few more minutes passed of her just staring at you, looking like she had seen you murder her dog or something, she finally spoke up. "How are you going to just sit there and act like nothing happened?!" she snapped.

"Nothing did happen, other than me saving a young girls life." You say back, calmly. "Are you fucking kidding me?!? Are you actually stupid or just that dense??" She replied hastily. You sat there, eyes straight ahead for a few minutes. It felt like anything you say she would use it against you.

"I did my job. If we were there on time, the plan would have worked perfectly. We had no way of knowing she would pick up a girl five minutes in." You started again after a few minutes. "Stop playing the hero card Y/l/n. That's not true and we both know it."

"What do you mean!? If we got there earlier, I would've been her victim. The girl wouldn't have been hurt?" At this point you were genuinely confused about what she was on about. "No, the plan was fucking stupid, okay? MAYBE, just maybe, it would have worked if we didn't send an incompetent child undercover in their first few months of working for the FBI, much less the BAU." She seemed genuinely enraged by the fact that you were sent in for a UC mission rather than her.

"Ohhhhhh! I finally understand! You're angry because Hotch sent me in, rather than the bigtime undercover master, right?!?" You say, angry tears threatening to fall out of your eyes. "I'm not angry, im fucking pissed. I worked my ass off for YEARS doing undercover work to make my way here, being questioned every step of the way, but you walk in straight out of a fucking receptionist job and they just let you in!?!

"I worked just as hard as any of you did to get here! You think it was fucking easy!?!!" You were getting angrier by the second, at this point you were pretty sure there was smoke coming out of your ears. "You did have it easy! You've had every fucking thing handed to you! For fucks sake you shouldn't even be an agent! You're a goddamn receptionist!" At this point you didn't care about what you said to her, you were fed up with the treatment you've received since your first day those short months ago.

"I'm not having this conversation right now." You say not wanting to talk.

"You can't just do stupid shit and get away with it y/l/n! You come in here acting like you're one of us when all you are is a brainless little bitch!"

You were honestly shocked at what she said to you, it sounded almost like an exact quote of how your mother used to talk to you.

"Don't you dare talk to me like that Prentiss! I don't care if you're a seasoned agent or whatever the hell it is you call yourself, nobody talks to me like that! Not you, not Hotch, not Gideon, not God!!"
