Jesse's POV
The wolf howled, obviously signalling its pack to help him. I roared, silencing him before I smacked him, breaking his neck.
Before I knew it, I heard and smelled wolves coming immediately. I ran as fast as I could, and saw Meleena standing there. 'Go!' I demanded and she took off with me. Wes gave me clothes and I put them on after shifting to my human form.
I knew Drake was coming. I knew it! Now isn't the time for a war at all. I ran to Meleena's room, but this time her scent didn't calm me. It didn't sooth me like it usually does.
So I sat on her bed, and began thinking.
How the hell can there be a war today?! Now?!
'Wes, gather the troops. We have an unexpected war. Meet at the field, I'll be there as soon as I can. Stall, they're coming for Meleena.' I ordered.
'Yes Alpha.' he answered.
Meleena walked inside the room, and I still couldn't find it in me to calm down.
"This isn't the time for a fucking war." I grumbled out loud.
"What? A war?" Meleena's voice seemed to get deeper, which made me think that her wolf had taken over.
"Yes. A War, Meleena." I stood up holding her hand.
"Why? Who?" she growled.
Touching her didn't calm me down either.
"Alpha Drake. He's the one who wants you Meleena." I told her.
"I don't e-e-even kno-know him." she was scared.
I stood up, holding her hand. "Meleena you're going to be just fine. Nothing will separate us," I said.
She nodded and I pecked her lips. "Stay here, in your room. Don't leave or open the door to anyone, unless it's me " I growled.
"W-where are you going?" she asked.
"I have to go." I said letting go of her. I kissed her forehead before locking her inside her room. "Jesse!" she cried.
As much as I wanted to hold her in my arms and tell her I wouldn't leave her, I had to make sure that she'd be safe.
'Mason, what is going on?' I ask as I exit the pack house.
'Alpha, everything is under control. Alpha Drake's pack is weak, but John is injured.' he told me.
'Get him to a spot where it's clear now!' I ordered.
'Yes Alpha.' he answered.
I left out of the pack house, shifting as I did so.
'Wes, where is Drake?' I ask, eager to find him.
'I just lost him. He's running back to his territory Alpha Jesse.' He says.
I growled, 'Not if I can stop him.'
I sniffed the air, seeking his scent which I had found in seconds. I ran to him quickly.
His scent got stronger, and stronger and just as I was close to finding him, one of his commands bit the back of my neck. I snarled kicking him in his legs. I heard one of them break and he snarled back.
The brown and white wolf shifted to it's human form, punching my rib cage. I roared in pain as I felt my bones shatter and heal quickly.
An Alpha heals faster than any supernatural creature living.
My bones pulled themselves back together, slowly but surely. I bit a hole in the rogue's neck as it glared at me in its human form. The rogue scream in horror as I detached his head from his body.
