Chapter thirteen.

Jesse's POV

"Hey Jame." I smirked as I opened the fridge.

"Hello." she replied in a cold hearted voice.

"How have you been?" I ask.

"Eh, good I guess. Just hanging around." she smiled at me. "How about you?"

"I'm great. Plenty of work to do, but I just want to relax for now." I answered.

"Where's Mel?"

"I don't know." I almost growled at the sound of her name.

"Everything okay with you two?" she asked.

"Yes." I lied.

"Alpha, your...never mind." she sighed.

"What?" I raised my eyebrow.

"I know you're lying." she frowned.

"I'm not. Meleena and I are fine. I think she said she's going for a run." I said, lying straight through my teeth.

She seemed convinced, "Oh, okay."

I sat next to her, leaving on a bit of space between us.

Meleena said she wants me to talk to Kyndal, I can talk to who ever I want. Today I choose Jame.

"I like your necklaces, it's just as beautiful as you." I flirted with her.

"I don't know what to say, thank you." Jame's face was redder than Wes's face when I choked him.

"You're welcome." I scooted closer to her.

"I don't think that's a good idea," she said.

"We're just friends." I say.

Deep down, I knew this was wrong. I knew I should find Meleena and apologize for what I said. But it was her idea, she basically gave me permission to talk to other she-wolves.

Jame was silent for a long time. "What are you thinking about?" I asked her.

"Nothing."

"Don't lie to me Jame, you know I will get it out of you." I put my hand on hers. "Now, what are you thinking about?"

"How much I want to kiss you right now." Jame told me.

"Kiss me then," I smirked.

"No, you belong with Meleena. How could you betray her that way?" Jame growled.

"Do you honestly think I care about betraying her right now. I didn't shut my wolf out for no reason." I said.

"Are you saying you don't love her?"

"No, I'm madly in love with Meleena. She's just being a little brat right now so I'm taking her advice and talking to someone else."

"I'm not going to do this with you Jesse. I'm a real friend, not a back stabber." Jame stood up and walked out of the kitchen.

'Kyndal...' I said her name through mind link.

'Yes Alpha?' she answered immediately.

'Can you meet me in my office?' I asked.

'I'll do anything you want.' she said seductively.

I smiled to myself, I love sluts.

I exited the kitchen and went to my office. I sat in my chair and waited for Kyndal.

Moments later, there was a knock on the door that had been fixed after Meleena knocked it down.

"Come in." I ordered.
