It was one autumn season in 2005, during summer there was a very little no rain. However, in south korea, the rainy season will begin at autumn and then continue through spring and winter.

Therefore autumn rains were extremely important, and Haneul didn't expect it to happen today. She hurriedly went to the chapel for shelter because she really hates walking under the rain.

While looking around, she saw a little boy probably in the same as her, soaking wet under the heavy rain in Autumn Season.

“Aigoo!” she muttered as she took a heavy sigh. “Hey! Kid! What are you doing there?!”

She shouted from the chapel but the young boy seems to hear nothing and continued standing and staring blankly while wearing a hospital gown. He is obviously out of his mind.

Haneul unbelievingly shook her head, “Aish! God knows how I really hate walking in the rain, but my conscience can't make me go crazy.”

She took a deep breath before running towards the young boy and when she finally reached him, in the middle of a heavy rain, her eyes couldn't help but to glared at him.

“You're really unbelieveable!” she bluntly said. “you look pale and sick! Aish, come with me!”

She pulled him over and grabbed his wrist then run until they reached the chapel.

“I don't understand why some kids loves being under the rain, aish!” she complained as she tried to dry her hair, “dangshin...” she pointed the young boy and he stared at her, “Aren't you going to thank me?!”

He just stared at her like he heard nothing, Haneul disappointedly shook her head. “Huh. What's wrong with you?”

She was stunned when the young boy started to cry.

“Did you see my brother...” he asked in between his tears.

“Anio. Where did your brother go?” she curiously asked.

He cried again, “that's why Im asking you because I don't even know where he went.” he sobbed, “I need to find him!”

He suddenly stood up and was about to went out when she grabbed his wrist and he was forced to sit again.

“stay calm. It's still raining...” she annoyingly stated,
“you can look for him when the rain stops. But for now, you have to stay here.”

“I can't lose my brother. I need to find him.” he helplessly cried.

She chuckled, “hey, you're not going to lose him. look at you...”

He stared at her, “it looks like you're going to meet Jesus later, you are so pale!”

She was startled when the young boy cried loudly again.

“Hey! Why did you cry?! I was just kidding.” she nervously asked.

He sniffs, “Im not sick, my brother is.”

“But... why are you wearing the hospital gown if you're not sick?” she curiously asked.

“I told you, he is sick. He wanted to go out so he asked me to wear this so that our parents wouldn't know he was gone outside.” he confessed. “now I regret saying yes to what he want, Im scared that he might get sick again.”

He cried loudly again.

Haneul sighed, “Aigoo. Sikkeureowo, this is a chapel. Jesus is sleeping, he doesn't want anyone to cry loud and wake him up from a good sleep. Arasso? Sikkeureowo.”

Haneul pulled out her earphone then put a piece on her ears and placed the other one on the young boy's ears.

She then played a calming music that made the boy stopped from crying and end up listening to the sound.

Why is my heart like this?
Why is my heart looking at you fluttering
Maybe it was just that I didn't know
Is this my heart, love?

Dangshing, gwaenchana?she worriedly asked.

He slowly nodded and wiped off his tears.

Why is this
What can I say more
Is there anything better than love
The times I didn't care about

Rain, rain, go away.she sang while staring outside.

His forehead twitched, “why are you sending the rain away? Don't you really like it?”

She nodded, “Neh. I'll only begin to love the rain when it stops falling.”

“W-wae?” he curiously asked, “What's wrong with the rain? The best part of being a kid is taking a shower and dancing in the rain. So my brother and I had so much fun when it was raining.”

Haneul chuckled, “For some people, they can feel the rain. But for someone like me, I just get wet. And I don't get why everyone loves rainy days when I hate them.”

“Rainy days make me tired and lose all the motivation to do anything.” she said.

And as soon as the rain stopped, she suddenly stood up and went outside. The young boy followed her and looked at the same sky.

“look! There's a rainbow!” she happily stated.

He smiled, “Are you happy whenever you see a rainbow?”

“Neh.” she smiled, “I feel relieved whenever I see that there's a rainbow after the rain, because that only means that the sad rain is finally over.”

He then returned the earphone to her and smiled,
“the way I see it, if you want the rainbow, you gotta put up with the rain.”

“some days you just have to create your own sunshine.” he smilingly stated,  “I gotta go. I have to find my brother.”

He finally turned his back and waved once more until she could see him no more.

She rolled her eyes, “He didn't even thanked me!”

Haneul was about to leave when she noticed that she had a slip of paper on her back. She quickly picked it up.

She was surprised to see the other half of a paper heart :

“you're like sunshine on a rainy day. Gomawo.” — S.J

She smiled, “Is this my imagination? Or is it really the autumn in rain?”
