Chapter 7 : You don't start searching for truth until something goes wrong. And you realized that you need it.
Haneul went home feeling worried since she doesn't know how to tell Daehyun about what happened to his scooter. She felt relieved when her father was the first person she saw in their home and that Daehyun wasn't around this time.
"Annyeonghaseyo." she tiredly greeted.
She threw herself on their couch and buried her face.
"Gwaenchana?" Her father asked.
"Deh. Where's Daehyun?" She asked, looking in every corner of their house. "Is he at work?"
Mr. Kyongjung nodded, "Deh. He said he'll be late. How's your first day? Did you see many famous stars there?"
She chuckled, "Deh, it went well, Appa. We already have a project to work on soon, geunde... I can now repay Hoon's mother. We've been indebted to her since I went to college."
"Well, about that..." her father sighed, "Mianhe. Geundae... Daehyun already repaid her."
Haneul's eyes widened, "Wae?! Appa... why did you let him pay? It's not even his obligation. I know he wanted to help but..." she sighed, "He's been financially supporting us."
"I know. I told him the same thing. But he still insisted to pay. Did you know that he even told me not to tell you?" he shook his head, "Ahh, that kid, I'm not even letting him pay for staying here but he's still doing this and that."
Then he glared to Haneul, "Yah, I don't even get Daehyun sometimes, if he's not your bestfriend, I might really think that he likes you."
Haneul glared back at her father, "Appa... we're just friends. I told you I rejected him when we were in college. And look at us now, we're better. He even insisted that it was better to be friends."
"So, Daehyun friendzoned you?!" her father histerically asked.
She sighed, "Anio. We just decided to be friends. That's it. He didn't liked me."
"Arasso. But if you'll end up liking Daehyun or he'll end up realizing that he likes you, there will be no problem with me." he winked. "Come, eat."
Her father wants Daehyun a lot. He even told her that if she's going to marry someone, she must make sure that if it's not Daehyun she should find someone like him.
When Daehyun's foster father passed away a year ago, he decided to moved to their house to save expenses and Haneul's father became an instant dad to him.
"Appa."
"Deh?"
"Did you know where Daehyun is? Did he tell you?" She asked.
"Well, he said he'll be working tonight. His part time job, hotel? Deh, hotel."
"Arasso, thanks for the meal! I'll go and see Daehyun, eat well appa!"
Haneul hurriedly went to Daehyun's part time job every Saturday Night. And sometimes, they even hire him when there is a huge event at the hotel. That's how Daehyun loves to play piano even if he decided to drop out from school, he still continued working as a musician. He works on different jobs every day and night.
Haneul has no idea what he's up to, why it seems like he is in a rush to save money. He even paid for their debts. He buys her food. He buys her whatever she needs. He put up a small printing shop for his father that he earned from multiple jobs. She don't know what he's up to but she's really ashamed of herself.
