Chapter 9 : If someone forgets about you, make them remember you.

"I waited for you."

"I waited in every rain to come and meet you again."

It's when it started to rain outside, Ha Neul stared at Director Jaesang with longing in her eyes.

"Do you remember me?" she smilingly asked, hoping for him to remember her.

Jaesang fell silent for a moment as if he's trying to remember what he heard from Ha Neul.  Things were going too fast and nothing was going through his mind right now. He just stared blankly trying to regain his composure.

After a few minutes, he sighed and looked coldly at Ha Neul, "Mianhe."

He got up from his sit and coldly stared at the Paper Heart,  "I don't know what you're talking about. This..." he took the paper heart that he gave her 15 years ago. "I don't remember giving it to you. and so what if I really did? This is just a piece of paper, and nothing more."

Ha Neul felt a spang of pain in her heart, she didn't expect it would be painful this way.

"W-wae? I waited for you. After 15 years, is this all that you can say to me?" she asked, pain registered in her eyes.

Jaesang sarcastically chuckled, "Did I tell you to wait for me? I don't even remember you. isn't that enough to give up? This means nothing to me, Ms. Park, I think you wasted your 15 years waiting for the wrong person."

"If this means nothing to you, then why did you kept that?" she asked as she pointed the other half of her paper heart, the one that Jaesang wrote on his own and keep for 15 years.

"This?" he raised his paper heart, "I was going to throw this piece of trash."

He crampled and threw it on the trash bin. He gazed back at Ha Neul.

"Don't romanticize it, rookie. This is not a love story." he coldly stated.

Ha Neul fell silent, she could not accept those harsh words coming out from the person that  she had been waiting for fifteen years. And out of embarrassment, she walked out without looking back at Jaesang.

She ran outside the building no matter how hard the rain is. She wanted to cry but there was no tears that wants to come out of her eyes. She doesn't care getting wet under the rain no matter how she hates it so much, she thinks it's better to walk in the rain and feel the pain.

It's when Daehyun showed up and provide an umbrella for her. She did not expect to see him at this moment but she's really thankful that he always show up whenever she needed him. She couldn't control herself and ended up embracing him.

That's when Daehyun knew she needed him the most.
