Chapter nine.

"Are you two going to be okay?" 

Aurora and Ben turn to Finn. The two stood between two x-wing's, Aurora's piolet suit tied around her waist as Ben shrugged on his over his new clean Jedi robes.

"We will be fine,"

"Have you told Poe?"

"Finn, I need to tell you something," 

Finn nods, pulling a chair out for her beside him, "Anything."

Aurora takes a moment before deciding to bluntly tell Finn, "There is a prophecy, one where to defeat the dark side, a light needed to fade."

Finn frowns, "What do you mean?" 

Aurora turns to him, "The old Jedi masters told me that it is possible one of us will die in the battle, but if you fight for what you love and be selfish you will survive."

"What about you? Poe? What about everything you have Aurora? If you don't survive but we win and Poe comes home without you- if we don't come home without you, it would feel like it would be all for nothing."

"If I die but the galaxy is safe, it was worth something. I am fighting for everything I love for, I want nothing but a life with Poe but I have to risk my life for the freedom of the galaxy."

Finn frowns, taking her hand in his, "Don't go out your way to risk your life, please come home Aurora."

Aurora smiles sadly, "When everyone is safe."

"Have you told Poe?" 

Aurora looks over her shoulder, finding Poe sat beside BB-8 as he beeps as Poe nods along, a soft smile on her face as she watches, "I can't." 

"He needs to know." 

Aurora turns back to Finn, "I can't break his heart." 

Finn pulls her into a hug, wrapping his arms around her tightly and pressing a kiss on her head. 

"I know."

Aurora sighs, looking over her shoulder as Poe help Lando and Chewie prepare the Falcon before turning to Finn, "I will, just need a moment to tell him."
