A SINGLE BIRD whistled a cheery melody for the morning in the distance, filling the brisk morning air with the sweet music of nature as she stared up at him thoughtfully. They didn't have much animals amongst the endlessly dry terrain of her world, but of the few species they contained the birds were her personal favorite, small hollow bones and feathered wings that took them far up into the heavens—she dreamed to be just like them. Free of worry as she soared across the brilliant skies, with a wide view of the vast world below. A pity the birds in her world never got to experience such a colorful beauty like this one.
But she was grateful for the chance to experience such an endlessly beautiful world—containing beings just as beautiful if not more alluring and rugged like the man who towered above her.
She couldn't bring herself to tear her gaze away from his bewildered one, and she felt inclined to apologize for the way she made his ears go red and jaw slack—his hand still out and arm extended towards her as he sputtered incredulously.
She enjoyed the feeling of his eyes on hers, a lot.
"I'm sorry for my honesty, Gohan." She said with a lofty smile, an unfamiliar excitement bubbling inside of her as she gently placed her palm against his and she willed the heat in her cheeks to cool down as his fingers wrapped around hers—his face still pink.
Piccolo stood quietly to the side, observing their exchange with a hard gaze but she paid him no mind. She heard Namekians were kind people with humble beginnings, and although this one seemed a little different down to the way he dressed she had no doubt he was just as kind as the people of planet Namek had been rumored to be.
"It's not a problem?" He questioned more so himself as he tripped over his words nervously, staring down at their hands interlinked and a strange gleam in his eye as her fingers gently wrapped around his to imitate the way he held hers. She assumed it was a formal greeting for the people of Earth, much different than she was used to. Many avoided touching her, in fear of somehow harming the abilities of The Saintess so a stranger's touch was foreign to her—not that she minded his touch.
She never would have imagined that in her universe there was a planet so beautiful, with people much like her own and a livable biosphere that contained more life than she could imagine. She could practically feel the land beneath her humming with the heartbeats of various life forms around her, small or big she could tell the planet contained a species so uncontrolled and vast it'd take her entire life to encounter each one. The energy the land itself gave off filled her with a lively energy she'd never felt before, one so enriching and she felt as if she could run forever and never run out of breath if she willed it.
But more so, she enjoyed the gentle energy of the being who stood before her with a boyish smile.
She enjoyed the warmth of his palms, and the jolts of shivers that tumbled down her spine from the moment his hand met hers and left her mind reeling—she didn't want to pull away. He too didn't seem to mind her touch as she carefully began to examine his palms. His hands were much larger than hers and exactly like anyone from her planet, veins ran across the top of his hands and up his arms like a detailed map, delicate strokes so meticulously placed like a perfect constellation within the veins of his arms. If she didn't know any better she'd assumed he was from her planet, but her people strictly had light blue eyes and light blonde hair save for the royal family who descended from The Heavenly Saintess Aloea, but never as dark as his—it was borderline black. She'd never seen such a dark color of eyes and hair to match. It was beautiful.
