We step out of the elevator and into Tony's lab, and I am sure for the second time today that I have gone deaf.

Off to my side, Peter physically recoils at the sound of Back in Black blasting at full volume and covers his ears. I already feel like my ears are bleeding so I don't even want to imagine what it would be like with his super senses.

Sure that Tony would not be able to hear me over the music I quickly turn to a camera to speak to FRIDAY asking her to turn it down. Thankfully FRIDAY is pretty good at reading lips so she is able to decipher my meaning.

Once the music is finally turned down to an acceptable level Peter breathes a sigh of relief.

"Hey, old man, I know your hearing is probably going, but no need to make the rest of our ears bleed."

"Oh hey, kids!" the old man says with a wide smile completely ignoring my statement causing me to roll my eyes. "Mind helping me with this?"

Both Peter and I walk over to the station that Tony is crouching over to look at what he is working on, but when we do, we both freeze.

"Uhhh, Mr. Stark, what is this?" Peter wearily asks pointing to the red and blue suit covered in a subtle spiderweb design.

"Oh, this is a new suit for that Spider-Guy. He is in desperate need of an upgrade it is actually quite sad. Fury also wants us to question him on his morals and all that, so I thought this would be a good way to bribe him and win him over."

Peter makes an attempt at forming a sentence, but just sputters, completely gobsmacked, and he looks towards me with a wild look, pleading for my help.

"Yeah, this is definitely a lot better than the pajamas that he wears now," I say while sending a slight teasing smirk toward Peter. "Are you going to need his identity though? Because he seems to hold that pretty close. I mean I wouldn't want people to know who I was if I was swinging around in PJs all day either. It would be embarrassing."

"Yeah, Fury is demanding it. Something about him possibly being a threat." Tony says absentmindedly while continuing to work on the suit.

Peter whips his head over to me with a fearful look but I offer him a reassuring smile. I'm going to have to have some words with Fury.

"Hey, can one of you help me get this wire in place?"

"Peter you help him with that, you are better with that kind of stuff," I say this because, yes, he really is better at this kind of stuff, but also because I want him to be able to see the inner workings of the suit. That way, if they ever try to pull something stupid with the suit, he can at least know his way around it to mess with it.

While Peter and the old man get to work, I head over to my workstation to continue to work on a new project that I have been working on. It is an improved version of prosthetics that has much more movement and, with the help of a small chip, it takes advantage of phantom limb syndrome in the brain to help have better control over the prosthetic.

After an unknown amount of time, I am torn out of my work daze when my hand slips and I accidentally and very painfully spill some liquid nitrogen on my hand when using it to cool one of the parts. I hiss at the feeling and go to shake my hand, but when I bring it back into my line of sight I stumble back at that same blue hue that I recognized from this morning appearing on my hands and seemingly traveling up my arm. I blink harshly as I watch it slowly start to fade away. I didn't think I was that tired that I would start hallucinating again.

I look up at the clock to see that it is 7:14 pm. Well, it has been almost 12 hours since I last had an energy drink... my caffeine withdrawals must really be getting worse if they are causing hallucinations...
