Time felt as if it went all topsy turvy now, night grasped Rei's shoulder tight in the darkness as the blistering daylight scorched Karin. They wanted the exact opposite of what they had, a night without the struggles and stress pulling you back, and a day of a clear and peaceful mind where you can simply sleep off the stress of noon. Disturbing. They can't rely on their senses in this world of misdirection, as no matter which highway they choose, it's always wrong.

Sight is limited, the blindness of apprehension and temper covers the full painting. You can't trust your sense of hearing, it always leads to a mislead assumption and anguish. Touch is a sense one should not meddle with, touch the wrong thing you can get a serious infection. Don't even think about saying smell is clear on this checklist. Breathe in a harmful chemical or breathe in a deadly virus your lungs you will suffocate. That's all I'll say for smell. Poison, rot, allergy, death will be in food, you eat food, you eat food using your tongue to swallow, and your tongue contains taste buds, tastebuds=the fifth sense, taste. Basically they are vulnerable.

The answer to their agony is not found on the internet, nor can it be solved in a mere moment of silence. Life's greatest mysteries take years to solve, the same as writing a book, the best answers to the solution always take time to develop, they get hooked up in the novel. Never rush an ending or you will face the consequences.

It was as if the world was split apart, Rei was trapped in a world full of darkness and misery in the middle of the night. The morning sun was nowhere to be seen in this canvas of a rainy night. As sleeping hours for Karin clicked away as fast as that sharp clicking sound humans can make using their middle finger and thumb. The blistering sunrise hitting her sluggish eyes. Constant tossing and turning to just get out of there, it won't work.

Oh how the sun loves to give us morning blindness on a Tuesday morning when you have extraordinarily little amount of motivation but a long day ahead of you. Thanks a lot. Tuesday today, guess what's happening, the final race. Karin was prepared physically, but not prepared mentally, she knew this was ought to be, fate to cross paths in such an irritating way.

She got up and dealt with it, sitting there and sulking over such petty little complications will never get you anywhere in life. I myself can relate to this too, crying and complaining never gets you anywhere in life. Nor does ignoring that one friend who has been there for your first days stepping into a new life just because they gave you your space. Karin is strong, physically and mentally, no matter how many people deny the phrase is true, they're just jealous of her.

Though the beams of the rising sun showered Karin in attention, the glistening moon hides reality from the darkened windowsill Rei stares at. The terrifying image of the decapitated head of the girl she met in the other realm hung in front of Rei with a disturbingly wide smile. Just the head, no body, no neck, floating at the eye level of the half-asleep Akabane Rei. Frightening. Staring right into her soul. It was dripping blood like a sword had cut into the head a few seconds ago.

Motionless, not a single movement at all.

Rei closed her eyes in fear, shutting them tight. Silence filled the room like the endless sea, she knew immediately that this was not a good sign at all. Constantly tossing and turning once again and scrunching up into a little ball. Now it was harder to fall asleep, as always.

Once her heartbeat had finally calmed down, she finally opened her eyes slowly. All clear, nothing there, at least for a couple of seconds, the moon's light lit the ward in a blue radiance. By the first blink after the silenced seconds, the same decapitated head came shrieking down upon the feeble child as its head swung close to Rei's face. Like a swing the head pushed forward and then leaned back into the air as if it was a floating candle, it let out a malicious, masculine cackle high above the poor child.

Rei laid back there unable to scream or shout, as if she had lost her voice once again. Nothing could be done to stop this devil. She twisted to face away from the screaming demon, her face contorted to scrunch her eyes closed as she used her pillow and blanket to bend her ears in a way to cover the dreaded shriek.

It didn't stop ringing in her ears though, even when it was gone. Her physical and mental state dropped down, leaving her mortal body in an unconscious but her soul trapped in the other realm, where night was everlasting.

When morning came, everyone woke up to the blinding beams of sunlight but Rei. It was her last day at the hospital and any moment her brother will be picking her up. By the time one of the nurses came to check on the pitiful child, she was in shock when no matter what she did, she couldn't wake Rei up at all. The nurse ran to tell the nearest doctor, yet no matter what he did, he couldn't wake her up. The medical explanations were off charts with all the sudden things happening to this one specific child, no one else has experienced a cycle this complex before. The medical books just had no simple explanation, at all.

She's not dead of course, she was still breathing and alive, but her current state was hard to determine the next arising problem. After looking at the unconscious adolescent for a few more minutes, the only thing the doctor could produce for a conclusion was coma, Rei was in a coma. The hospital really did not want inform Tatsuya, but they had to, he's her only legal guardian so he has the right to know after all.

Great. Tuesday morning, Karin has to put up with Akane's idiotic little race, and she was very much not looking forward to it. No, it's not because of seeing all those people staring at her when running, she is used to that after so many years loving sport. Humiliation. That's what she hates most.

Karin went on her way ahead of the half-asleep Kaiyo. The track as all set up for the race, so clear it glimmered in Karin's eye. She kept walking on other to the spot where Taro would usually sit, the cherry blossom tree. No one there. The grade fives and sixes watched her walk to her class in suspicion every step she took echoed in there ears. Tak...Tak...Tak...Tak...

Her older brother's eyes seemed to be staring into the distance as paced around the school to get to his class in pure silence. The entire school seemed to be silenced, the only thing you can hear would be Akane's constant jeering. It absolutely burned Kaiyo's ears.

Morning'ssubjects held a strange tension between Karin and the rest of the class. Tooquiet.
