The moment I heard Onii-san say that particular phrase "That's none of your business, if you really want to know go ask the enemy yourself," it sounded like his trust in me is running low. And that tone, my brother, Yuzuriha Kaiyo, has only spoke that way to me once, and that was TODAY. Ask the enemy yourself?! What! What is he thinking, why would I, ask someone who's an unfaithful, overconfident, lying friend this; "Hi Machi-san! Do you mind telling how you and my older brother Yuzuriha Kaiyo broke off your friendship, and also why?"Like what is he thinking!? Me as a literal backstabber now?! I swear, that boy gets on my nerves so easily this year. The practise for me and Obake's big race is going well, the only thing I'm curious about is Obake's attitude towards me. He seemed so nice and innocent, I didn't expect this. To be honest, I thought and believed he would be like how my brother said, unfaithful, overconfident, insolent and a liar. He was nothing like that though. Alas, Onee-san said that Obake is an actor. One moment he acts nice in front of you and others but uses a completely different mask when you two are alone. People like that are hard to deal with, along with choices that leaves you stranded at the cliff, the end of the road. I guess I should never question him and his choices. By the time Tatsuya and Satsuki arrived at Rei's ward, No. 3-13, all the walls, or should I say, any area that has a crack or gap, was covered in red tape. Of course, Satsuki couldn't perceive the sight of the colour red (Protanopia), she online saw a mere outline of the tape in green. The eldest child understood all, the feeling his sister is feeling and what she has been doing for the past few days. As soon as they entered the ward, Satsuki ran up to Rei to give her a big hug on her bed. "Onee-san! Are you feeling better now?" is what she cried, but the person she was asking couldn't speak. 10 seconds passed, yet still no answer. There was an odd atmosphere between the siblings, an abnormal silence as the sisters are just so used to talking to each other all the time. It's either listening, talking, or just making sounds that don't even make any sense at times. "Why aren't you talking, Onee-san? Can you hear me?" Rei reached out to the drawer and grabbed the notebook and pen and scribbled something on the paper and gave the book to Satsuki. I can't talk anymore, well for now at least. Satsuki couldn't read yet, so she gave the notebook back and turned to their brother, who let out a long sigh of regret. "She can't talk anymore, well until she gains her voice back." Satsuki turned back to Rei who has a soft smile painted on her face to cover up the sadness. The younger sister then frowned and hugged Rei tight, it was clear has a bright summer morning that she was sad but was keeping it concealed to not let anyone else worry. She hugged her back but couldn't keep her face happy, Rei only frowned and let out a single tear of sadness. Seems like Rei is following in her brothers footsteps now, the sight of the Sukima Onna, the unknown dimensions, concealed blues, the single tear, and the problem of doing things for others too often and not thinking of the later outcome. Something always gets the better of us as easy-to-be-manipulated-against-ourselves-humans. Well then, curiosity kills the cat nowadays, and we can't do anything about it.
