Chapter 15: Once Again, I'm Greeted With Goodbye.

*a week later*

I'm packing my stuff back into my suitcase to leave for California tomorrow. My two week vacation has closed and I'm not ready to leave just yet. This experience has been amazing for me and I will never forget it.

I catch a glimpse of Levi standing in the doorway. I look to him and smile. "You know you look like a creeper, right?" I ask and he walks into the room.

"It's whatever. Did the two weeks really go by that quick? It feels just like yesterday day you drove up in a coat with the biggest smile and ran to me with open arms. Like you knew me your whole life." He looked down and twiddle with his thumbs and I smile and giggle.

"No. I might have not known you my whole life, but you made a strong friendship making it feel like we have known eachother forever. That is why I'm so open with you, you don't judge. I would like to thank you for that." I say and put the rest of my clothes in the suitcase excluding my outfit for tomorrow.

"I have never had a friend like you. That is just a side note. I was always the freak in school." He sits down and looks up at me. "I'm not sure how California schools work, but I wish you the best your senior year."

I smile and hug him. He hugs me back and we just sit there. As if everything vanished. We're the only ones on this Earth.

Levi let's go first and looks at the clock. "Maybe it's time to go to sleep. You have to get up early to drive back."

"Okay. Oh! Here you go." I say and unzip my backpack to get a familiar envelope. "Here you go. I used absolutely none of it."

He looked at it and smiled. "I can't take that. I gave it to you."

I looked down at it. "Okay." I say. In all honesty, I can't do that.

My plan is to put it under the couch cushion and Levi won't know about it until I leave. (He might send it back, but I'll literally sent it straight back with directions to give it charity if he really doesn't want it.)

"Well, I am going to sleep. Goodnight Levi!" I say as he walks out. He turns off the light and whispers goodnight back.

-Levi P.O.V.-

I wake up and realize today is the day that Eren has to leave. I get up and start walking to the dreaded door I have to open. I don't want him to leave. Honestly, I would let him live here, finish school here, and everything else.

I open the door hesitantly. "Eren, wake up." I hear nothing. I turn in the light he's not in the bed.

I run to my room and call his number. It went straight to voicemail. I call him again. Again, straight to voicemail. I run to the living room and turn on the television and while the television turns on I text Eren. The commercial is abruptly stopped for breaking news.

Sorry for the interruption, but right now we have breaking news. Right behind me is a car accident dealing with a simi-truck, and a silver prius. The accident happened on icy roads. At the moment we have the truck driver in critical condition and the other on their way to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

I grab my keys and run to my car. If this answers any questions, Eren drives a silver Prius. I start driving as soon as my blue Fiesta starts up.

And here we go again, I'm greeted with goodbye.
