Chapter 10: Unlocked Doors, You Have Made Me Happy

    I wake up to Levi knocking on the locked door. He says my name quietly. Then the knocks progressively go to slams and him yelling my name.

    "Eren! Open this door! Come on, i have food! EREN I HAVE A FUCKING KEY TO THIS DOOR! OPEN THE DOOR OR YOU WON'T HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!" He says while slamming on the door. I just sit up while clutching my panda pillow pet, staring at the door.

    Next, I here a lock being unlocked and the knob turning. Then the door opens with a Levi leaning on the doorway. His smile quickly turns into a frown when he sees me sitting with puffy eyes. He walks up to and sits across from me. He puts both of his hands on my shoulders and smiles.

    "Eren, I don't know what is going on; but, knowing your beautiful smile and positive personality, it can't be good. Now, if you want, you can tell me, and if you don't, I understand. Just please smile for the world because it is absolutely necessary for it to be on display." He says while smiling himself. I shake my head no and burrow my head into the pillow pet. "Okay, I understand, please feel better. It hurts me to see you like this Eren."

    I look up and Levi is leaving, I can't take it anymore. "L-Levi! Don't leave! Please! I will tell you!" I yell with tears threatening to flow down again. He turns to me and smiles and walks back. He sits closer to me and puts an arm around my shoulder. "Now Eren, what is making your pretty little mind sad?" He asks with full worry in his eyes.

    "W-well Levi, um, where do I start? Oh, well when I was ten, my mom was in a car accident and slid into a coma. She didn't wake up for a year and a half; so, they were going to pull the life support. When they did, my dad was done. He took care of me as best as he could and ended up meeting my step-mom Sherry.

    "He loved and admired her while I hated her. She wasn't my mom, she wasn't Carla Jäeger. She was Sherry Jäeger, but she didn't give birth to me. She was not my second mom. If anything, that was Mikasa. She meant nothing to me, and she knew that. I just acted to like her around my dad. She never liked me. That is why all of those remarks hurt me so much, it brought back memories. Horrible ones." I say and start crying again.

    Levi just sits there, emotionless. He turns and brings me into a hug. My tears spread across the sleeve of his shirt, but he doesn't mind. He looks back up at me and tells me this. "Eren, you are worth something. I fucking swear that she is the only person that doesn't like you. You just bright up any place you walk to. Do you hear me?"

    I nod my head. He smiles and an Aha! face suddenly comes on his face. He turns to me and smirks. "Hey Eren,  remember I said if you didn't open that door, you wouldn't have a Merry Christmas?"

    "Y-yeah, why?"

    "Well, it is time for you TO NOT HAVE A MERRY CHRISTMAS!" He yells the last part and jumps at me and pushes me on the bed. I am on my back and he is on top of me. He pins both of my hand above my head and I gulp. "Maybe next time you will open the door." He says.

    He takes both of my hands in one of his hands and uses the free one to tickle me. Oh great. I think. He hits the spot and I start laughing and yelling to him to stop. He lets go of my hands and tries to find more spots and succeeds. He stops and looks into my eyes and I so the same thing. He inches closer and I sit up. His knees are on either sides of my legs and mine are straight. We both inch closer until our lips are touching. We sit there, just for about a minute and then drift apart slowly.
