Everyday you commute to school via train. It's your everyday routine. But today, today was different. Why? Well, there was a guy sitting across from you. His face was covered with a mask.
Of course you couldn't see his complete face but the upper half of his face, especially his eyes... They were killer. Breathtaking, literally!
The posts (esp. the quote) you see on social media saying - they were not just brown eyes, they were his brown eyes - well, now you could feel that quote. Understand it.
You couldn't take it anymore. So you fished out your phone to capture this ethereal beauty sitting in front of you. But man you didn't know that this was gonna top the list of 'embarrassing moments of my life'.
When you were 'discreetly' clicking his picture he saw you or you-clicking-his-pic-unethically. And his look, his gaze... it did take your breath away. You stopped breathing. Not just because of his handsome look but because his eyes were shooting fire and you were oh so embarrassed.
But despite his glaring eyes, he was looking even more, more, more handsome! Those eyes... words aren't enough to give justice to them. Dark lashes, dragon eyes, shining...
But damn, you couldn't get a picture of them. They say a picture will last longer for you to stare at, but poor you couldn't get one to stare at.
Few days later
Again your dream boy was sitting across from you. You were having debate with the angel and devil of yours. Both little creatures were sitting on each shoulder. Devil telling you to click a picture again even if he sees you. Angel telling you to not embarrass yourself again!
And of course, the devil won.
You did the same thing and it resulted in the same situation. He saw you.
At first he gave you that hot warning-like gaze. But then what he did next made your heart stop beating. No, he didn't come to you and click a selfie and return your phone back. Or sat next to you. None of that happened.
He posed for the picture. He made a 'peace' or 'V' sign for you. You were a little embarrassed and a little happy. You clicked his picture for good. For you to stare at him whenever you want.
The day
This time you met him in a subway. This time he was not wearing a mask. Finally you got to see his full face. The handsomeness that was hiding behind the mask all the time.
How did you know he was the same guy? You have been looking at his picture all the time and now you could identify him just from his eyes even in the crowd of millions of handsome guys!
He was scrolling Instagram. All his attention on his screen. You were scowling to no one in particular but the phone. His phone. You peeked into his phone and looked at his Insta ID.
Luckily, his account was public. You followed him and stalked his account. Going through each of his posts, you liked them all. Yeah, it was as if you were spamming.
Seeing the number of likes increasing continuously, he checked the spammer. And it was you, who was standing right beside him and goggling at his profile. He smiled at himself, stifling the giggle trying to come out.
He thought of doing the same. He clicked on your profile, which was public too. He went through each post of yours, which were not that many, liking them too.
You checked who liked your post. It was weird, considering you hadn't posted anything since ages. After seeing who the stalker was you couldn't hide your shy and happy smile.
Seeing your shy self he couldn't hold his giggle. While giggling he brought his phone from around your shoulder, clicking a selfie of you both.
How did the picture come out? You were shyly (plus a smile decorating your face) looking down, your eyes closed. And he, he looked happy in the camera.
And that was his next post.
Maybe this is his story of - how I met your mother.
