"Maya, over here." Kamari called her sister over. Kamari sat in her bedroom, staring at her phone as she scrolled through social media. Her 20th birthday was coming up in three weeks, and she still had no idea what she wanted to do to celebrate. She turned to her younger sister Amaya, who was sitting on her bed with a magazine in her hand.
"Hey, Amaya," Kamari said, "What are we going to do for my birthday?"
Amaya looked up from her magazine and raised an eyebrow. "I don't know, what do you want to do?"
"I was thinking maybe we could go on a trip somewhere, like Paris or Tokyo," Kamari said. "Or maybe we could have a big party at Dad's club."
Amaya nodded thoughtfully. "Paris sounds amazing, but it's a little short notice to plan something like that. And I don't know if a big party is really what you want. You've had big parties before."
Kamari sighed. "Yeah, you're right. I just don't know what I want to do."
As they were talking, their dad walked into the room. Kamari's dad was always busy with work, but he made sure to spend time with his daughters whenever he could.
"Hey, girls," he said, smiling. "I have some exciting news."
"Im all ears but first i have a request." Kamari said, placing her phone down, giving him her full attention.
"Im listening baby." Her dad smiled, already knowing she wanted something.
"Can I throw a party for my birthday?" Kamari asked, giving him a smile. "Anything you want." Her dad smiled.
