Recuperation and Talking

     After Eren and Historia were taken away by the MP elites, the squad hid in a warehouse where they captured a few hostages, and took a moment to catch their breaths.

Izuku: "Hey, Armin you gonna be okay?"

Armin: "Yeah, eventually; When I pointed the gun at her, she already had hers pointed at Jean and Katsuki. But, she hesitated before she could shoot. I didn't though; I pulled the trigger, and shot her down. I'm-."

     Before Armin could finish what he was saying, Levi interrupted him.

Levi: "A killer; And now that your hands have been soaked in blood, the person you once were is gone for good."

     After hearing what Levi said, Izuku, Katsuki, and Mikasa got upset with him.

Izuku: "Are you kidding me!?"

Katsuki: "What the hell!?"

Mikasa: "Why would you say something like that!?"

Levi: "And you shouldn't regret it either; Because if you had chosen to keep your hands clean, Jean and Katsuki would be corpses on a cart right now. I'll tell you why you pulled the trigger; Because, she hesitated before you killed her. Armin, everyone managed to survive today because, you got your hands soaked in blood. Thank you."

     Armin knew that Levi was right, but got up from his seat and left to get some air. Izuku got concerned and decides to go check on Armin making sure that he's still okay.

Izuku: "I'll go check on him."

Katsuki: "Better you than me."

     After Izuku and Armin left the room, Jean felt guilty about earlier and told Levi what happened.

Jean: "Captain Levi, I thought it was wrong for us to kill people, Sir. But no, I can see now that I was in the wrong, Sir. Next time, I swear I'll shoot."

Levi: "I never said who was in the right or wrong here; My moral high ground shot to Hell. I don't know who's in the right or wrong here. I never saw it coming."

     Everyone knew that Levi was right, and he got up from his seat to ask the hostages they captured.

Levi: "Now then, I think it's time to ask our guest here what he knows."

     While the group was interrogating the merchants, Katsuki saw Izuku and Armin come back looking calm now. He even strikes up a calm talk with Izuku, but it eventually went to a personal argument.

Katsuki: "Hey, Deku, how's Armin holding up?"

Izuku: "He's calm now."

Katsuki: "That's a relief."

Izuku: "Oh, why the hell would you care anyway? You're only in this mission for killing actual people."

Katsuki: "Not completely; I also want to help exterminate the Titans."

Izuku: "Yeah, like I've heard that one before. All you've ever cared about was becoming the No.1 Hero once you got your quirk. You never cared about anyone but yourself."

Katsuki: "Deku, I know I screwed up years ago, but I really want to change my life. Not just for you 4, but also for the our comrades and the rest of Humanity."

Izuku: "Really? Is that so? Maybe should've done that years ago when you told me to jump of the roof of a building last year or even when you abandoned Eren in the forest and gave up on the friendship you had with me since we were little kids!"

Katsuki: "Deku, I-."

Izuku: "No! Just drop it, Kacchan! I'm not dealing with you shit anymore! Maybe you can fool other people with your personality transformation, but Eren and I can see right through you! I'm tired of you always thinking that everything you've already had in your life was never good enough! Including the 4 of us!"

     After Izuku lashed out his anger, he stomped away from Katsuki with rage leaving him alone.

Katsuki: "(Well, that turned out way differently than expected. So much for making amends with Izuku.)"

     Eventually, Mikasa walked over to Katsuki and figured that their talk was very personal.

Mikasa: "Well, that was a little more personal than expected."

Katsuki: "You think?"

     Mikasa then asked Katsuki what she heard from him during his talk with Izuku earlier.

Mikasa: "Hey, were you being serious before about wanting to change your life and starting over?"

Katsuki: "Yeah, I was, and I really am."

Mikasa: "Well, it's gonna take a lot to convince those 2 that they can believe you. Especially after 10 years of Hell you put us through."

Katsuki: "Yeah, I know."

     Once he looked down feeling guilty even more, Mikasa gave Katsuki some advice that might help him later on with Eren.

Mikasa: "Look, if Armin was here with you, he probably would give you a second chance with us and start over. But, to Eren, me, and Zuki, it will take me a lot more to convince the 3 of us."

Katsuki: "I figured as much."

Mikasa: "You know how they say 'Actions speak louder than words'?"

Katsuki: "Yeah?"

Mikasa: "You have to show Eren that you really are willing to change your ways by actions more often than just your words."

Katsuki: "How the hell am I gonna do that?"

Mikasa: "Protect him from any form of danger that gets in the way of your chance to make things right. Once Eren sees that, he might consider giving you a second chance."

Katsuki: "You really think that'll work?"

Mikasa: "It's worth a try."

Katsuki: "Alright; Thanks, Mikasa."

Mikasa: "Oh, by the way, when we were little kids, everytime you walk away from us or when you're at a far distance, Eren smiles at you and blushed softly just after thinking about you every single day. Even before you left the island, and he never stopped thinking about whether or not you were still alive and okay."

     After the talk, Mikasa walked back with the squad while Katsuki was standing alone remembering everything she told him.

Katsuki: "(No frickin way! Eren actually cared about me when we were little kids and still thinks about me even after I abandoned him? If what Mikasa said was true, then this gives me even more of a reason to make things right.)"

     He then walked back with the group, and felt even more determined to get Eren back.

Katsuki: "(Hold on, Eren; I'm on my way.)"

     Once he had his thoughts sorted out, Katsuki left with the others to go seek out a soldier with some information that could really help them save Eren and Historia.
