Lenny's POV
Liv is beautiful. She has long red hair and tanned skin. Her body was curved in the best places and even though she was only wearing ripped jeans and a shirt, she rocked that."Hey Lenny," she says. "I'm Liv."
I give her a shy smile.
"She can't speak," Seb says. "Maybe you could look into that."
"No I see why already," Liv says. She walks up to me and gives me a questioning look. "Can I touch you?"
I nod unsurely. She reaches up and touches my neck.
"It looks like she has had some stitches here," Liv states. "So they may have removed her voice box if it was cut deep."
"She won't ever be able to talk?" Seb questions.
"Well I'll have to look into it more," Liv says. "They may have just removed part of it and if that's the case, she could just get some speech therapy."
Liv steps back and holds her hand out to Seb. "What?" He questions.
"We are spending the day together," Liv states. "So we will need lunch."
Seb lets go of my hand and walks to his room. I wrap my arms around myself, feeling Liv's eyes on me.
"How old are you?" She asks.
I put up all my fingers once and then put one finger down.
"19?" Liv questions. I nod. "You are young."
I raise an eyebrow at her.
"We are all 27," she states.
My eyes widen in surprise. Seb didn't look that old to me. He is a detective and that does take years to make.
"Here," Seb says, giving Liv his card. "Have fun today."
"We will," Liv says. She holds out her hand to me and I take it. I look at Seb who looked annoyed for a second but then puts on a smile for me.
Before I could think about it, Liv pulls me out the door to her car. Her car was purple.
I loved it. I get into the passenger seat and buckle in. She turns the car on and waits for her phone to connect to the Bluetooth. "Hope you don't mind One Direction," she says.
I shrug.
She blasts the music as we drive to the doctor. It was quite catchy actually. I liked the song Loved you first.
She leads me into the doctor's office and smiles at the receptionist. "I have Lenny here for an appointment."
"Ah yes, the girl with no last name," the receptionist drawls. "Take a seat."
We take a seat and Liv grabs a magazine huffing. "Rude bitch."
I giggle.
We were in the waiting room for a good fifteen minutes before the doctor comes out for me. "So what are we doing today?"
"Sebastian just wants to make sure she is healthy," Liv says. "Plus it looks like she has some scarring across the next that I would like checked out."
He nods. "Well Lenny, let's get started."
He checks my blood pressure and then my weight. He takes some blood and checks it through the system too.
"Ah Leena Bailey," he says. "Date of birth 8th of December 2000."
"She likes to be called Lenny," Liv states
The doctor hums. "There is no history of surgery on her neck."
"Really?" Liv questions. "There is definite scarring."
The doctor puts on some gloves and tilts my head up. "Looks like a home job," he states. "Whoever did this, didn't want anybody to know."
Liv looks at me and her eyes sadden. "Oh, Lenny."
"Do you want me to contact her dad?" The doctor asks. "He is here as her emergency contact."
I shake my head and tears brim in my eyes.
"That's a no," Liv snaps.
"Well we have her insurance on file, so that should be okay today," Doctor says. "The only thing I would say though, is she is very underweight. She needs to eat more."
"And do you think she would be able to speak again?" Liv asks.
"Sadly not," Doctor says. "But I can suggest some ways to communicate."
"Yeah, I know them," Liv mutters. "Thanks anyway."
"No worries at all," he says. "I'll book her in for a follow-up in six months."
After that Liv takes me down to Chick-fil-A and orders us both a grilled chicken club sandwich. We then get some bubble tea from another place.
I never had it before, but now I love it.
"Did you graduate high school?" She asks.
I nod.
"What were you wanting to do?" Liv asks.
I shrug. I didn't know. I was more focused on surviving.
"You could take the test," Liv says. "That's what I did. Said I should be a nurse and now I love it."
I nod.
"Do you get frustrated because you can't communicate?" She asks.
I nod.
"I totally would too," Liv says. "Ask Jaxon, I don't fucking shut up. Not even in the bedroom."
I blush and avert my gaze.
"Sorry," she says sheepishly. "I also don't think before I speak apparently."
I shrug.
"You feel safe with Seb?" She asks.
I nod and smile.
She smirks. "Do you like Seb?"
I shake my head. Not like that.
"I think you do," Liv says. "I mean he's hot, right? He's got the body, the brains plus I've heard he is packed downstairs."
I blush and shake my head. I don't want to talk about this.
Her eyebrow raises. "Have you had sex before?"
I shake my head. When was I supposed to? When my dad was on my tail 24/7
"You are innocent," she says. "Have you at least kissed a guy?"
I nod. Bryan after science class.
"Seb's a good kisser," Liv states.
She's not going to shut up about this.
