"what took you so long back there?" Larissa questioned, the car journey back to Nevermore being slower then usual. My gaze shifted towards the blonde, getting startled by her question. "he was just being difficult" I sighed, looking into the back seats to make sure all the boxes for secure so they wouldn't slide and tip over. Larissa gave a me a puzzled look, her eyebrows furrowing as she looked away from the road. "what do you mean he was being difficult?" She gripped even tighter into the steering wheel, her slender fingers wrapping over the wheel cover.

I was still set on my earlier conversation with Andrew to be private, not wanting Larissa to be angry anymore then she already was. Knowing how protective she was over me I didn't want to cause a hassle, the older woman still having to take care of Marilyn.

"he was just asking unnecessary questions about myself that's all" I lied, praying she wouldn't catch me in it. She still hated lairs, especially if I was to do that on purpose. But I couldn't risk this problem from seeping out. I shifted in my seat, feeling a little uncomfortable. "do you want to tell me honey?" She asked, still concerned. I shook my head 'no, knowing she was respecting my privacy and giving me the option to spill the beans. My mother or anyone else for that matter would have just screamed at me until I told them, so I was extremely thankful. "okay well... it's three right now, that means our date is in around four more hours" she smiled, changing the subject.

My eyes grew wide, really wanting to know where she was taking me. "can you just tell me" I squeezed excitedly. I could sense her amusement, giggling at my words. "no, I told you it was a surprise" I just sighed at her comment, silently hoping she'd cave under my question. "but why I hate surprises" I groaned, slightly annoyed because I'd already previously told her I disliked being surprised by people. "did you or did you not surprise me with a lovely gift?" She questioned, although not needing me to answer before she carried on. "so I would love to surprise you with an incredible date, wether you like it or not" she spoke sternly, eyes now glued on the road ahead.

The rest of the drive back to the academy we sat in a more then comfortable silence, every now and then I'd comment on her beauty in the sunlight. She made me extremely proud to be surrounded in her presence, her warmth radiating off of me in every single way possible. Once Larissa parked in her usual space she groaned deeply, turning to face me and quickly smiling- rather cutely.

"are you okay?" I asked her, my innocent voice being soft as silk

"are you okay?" I asked her, my innocent voice being soft as silk. The blonde nodded slowly, moving her face down then back up to meet my irises. "I'm great, but" she stopped, itching the corner of her nose before looking up at she school ahead of us. I grew anxious straight away, not knowing what was wrong with her. "what?" I inquired, unbuckling my seatbelt and also turning my body in her direction.

"Marilyn" was all she said, her voice in a low tone- her aggression resurfacing. That's when I remembered, she wasn't just going to speak to her, she was going to fire her from the school and remove her professional title. I sighed, scratching my head when my wrist lightly hit my side making me flinch. Larissa instantly looked my way again, concern and anger written across her face. "I just can't believe she's done this" she blurted out, her eyes immediately welling up and the happiness in her blue eyes disappearing.
