— 2 hours later —

"you know" Larissa parted her lips, giggling. "you are a jokester" she continued to giggle up a storm as she looked longingly into my eyes. We were on our second mug of hot chocolate and I was growing rather tired.

I didn't quite understand what she meant, all I did was make a small innuendo about us making love the other night — and everything she thinks is funny I think is also humorous.  Larissa's terms and conditions when it came to how she expressed having fun were limited most of the time, however when she got to show me just how important my humour meant to her, I loved it.

I took a small sip of the milky coloured liquid in my green leafed mug before giggling too, in awe of my girlfriend's beauty. "well you do make it impossible to be serious sometimes" I retorted, placing a gentle hand on the older woman's leg that rested over the top of mine.

We were both spread out on the couch in front of her fireplace, the bright orange embers captivating the warmth in our eyes. My heart fluttered when she laid across the sofa moments before, when her head rested on the armrest and how her legs draped over my lap as I sat up right. As I caressed her legs with my hand, she smiled, humming in response to the gesture.

"you're too cute darling" she fluttered her eyes whilst tapping her index finger against her mug she was holding against her chest. "getting tired?" She asked me with her usual warming tone as she noticed a yawn escape trough my tongue.

I nodded at her question, feeling myself become ever more relaxed with her words. I always felt safe falling asleep around this woman, how I knew she'd carry me to her bed and wrap me up in all the blankets she had to offer. Larissa was sweet like that, simply all the time.

Swiping my pointer finger against my nose, I yawned again before taking another sip of the chocolate beverage in hopes to sway my mind away from sleeping.

"why don't we go rest then?" She asked me, her hairs up-do slightly misplaced due to her head arrangement. She always looked picture perfect though, her cheeks all rosey and blushed.

My skin was all warm and shiny from the fire in front of us, seeming to glow my skin and eyes in comparison to my daily look. My clothes had since been changed and I was wearing one of Larissa sweaters that looked fairly oversized on my frame. It was an amazing material that didn't leave me feeling itchy, the light caramel brown colour of it making me feel even more cozy.

I loved that the blonde liked me wearing her clothes in the evening, it was just another thing in our relationship that connected me to her.

"but I'm not tired" I somewhat lied, leaning my head bad against the cushions as I still held my hands around my mug that was now only half full.

"are you really going to lie around me?" Larissa coked an amusing brow, fighting her way to sit up as she removed her legs from my lap; her elbows shuffling up the sofa as she handed me her hot chocolate.

"I'm not lying, I guess I just needed to yawn" I again, lied. I knew that she knew I was lying, yet this was brining out her playful nature so I didn't stop. It wasn't pushing her buttons.

"so you aren't tired, yet you yawned more than twice and rubbed your eyes?" She questioned me, half rhetorical. "because you have so much energy" she stated, poking fun at my ridiculous fib.
