Nkem and Marco had been dating for a few months now, and things were going smoothly. They had settled into a comfortable routine of studying, attending classes, and spending time together whenever they could. Marco was getting better at speaking Igbo, and Nkem was picking up Italian quickly.
One day, Marco surprised Nkem with tickets to see a movie they had been wanting to watch. It was a romantic comedy, and they both laughed and enjoyed themselves throughout the film. After the movie, Marco suggested they take a walk around the city.
They strolled through the streets, holding hands and chatting about everything and nothing. As they walked, Nkem noticed a gelato shop that she had been wanting to try. Marco noticed the look on her face and smiled.
"Do you want to try some?" he asked, nodding towards the shop.
Nkem grinned and nodded eagerly. They walked into the shop, and Marco helped her pick out a few flavors to try. They sat outside the shop, enjoying their gelato and watching the people passing by.
As they sat there, Nkem felt a sense of contentment wash over her. She was happy to be with Marco, exploring a new city and experiencing new things. It felt like they were starting a new chapter of their lives together.
Later that night, as they lay in bed, Nkem turned to Marco and said, "I feel like we're starting a new chapter of our lives together."
Marco smiled and pulled her close. "I feel it too," he said. "I'm excited to see where this new chapter takes us."
Nkem felt her heart swell with love for him. She knew that no matter what challenges they might face in the future, they would face them together.
