Nkem had never been so scared in her life. She had never felt so much pain before. She had been in labor for nine hours, and it felt like an eternity. Marco had been by her side the whole time, holding her hand, wiping her forehead, and whispering words of encouragement in her ear.

Finally, after what felt like an eternity, the doctor came out of the delivery room with a smile on her face. "Congratulations," she said. "You have two healthy babies, a boy and a girl."

Nkem couldn't believe it. She had given birth to twins. She was exhausted, but she couldn't wait to hold her babies. Marco was beaming with joy and relief.

They named their son Carlos Esteban, after Marco's father, and their daughter Juniper, after Nkem's love for nature.

As they held their babies, Marco looked at Nkem with tears in his eyes. "Thank you," he said. "Thank you for giving me the most beautiful gift in the world."

Nkem smiled weakly, feeling proud of herself and grateful to have Marco by her side. They spent the next few days in the hospital, taking care of their newborns and enjoying every moment together.

Finally, it was time to take the babies home. Nkem was nervous, but she was also excited to start their new life as a family of four.

As they drove home from the hospital, Nkem looked at Marco, who was driving with one hand and holding Carlos Esteban with the other. She felt a sense of peace and contentment wash over her. She knew that they had a long road ahead of them, but with Marco by her side, she felt like they could overcome anything.

When they arrived home, they were greeted by their family members, who had decorated the house with balloons and banners. Nkem was touched by their thoughtfulness and love.

As they settled into their new routine, Nkem couldn't help but feel grateful for all the love and support she had received from Marco and their families. She knew that being a mother was going to be a challenging but rewarding experience, and she was ready for the journey ahead.
