Nkem sat in her college lecture hall, listening intently to her professor's lecture on African literature. As much as she loved the class, her mind kept wandering to Marco. It had been a few weeks since they had seen each other, and she missed him terribly.

She glanced at her phone, hoping for a text from him. Just then, a tap on her shoulder made her jump.

"Hey," Marco whispered, flashing her a smile.

Nkem's heart fluttered as she turned to face him. "What are you doing here?" she whispered back.

"I wanted to surprise you," he said, taking the seat next to her.

Nkem beamed, grateful for his surprise visit. The lecture continued, but Nkem couldn't focus on anything else but Marco's presence beside her.

After the lecture, they walked around campus, catching up on each other's lives. Marco had been busy running his family's business, but he always made time for Nkem. They walked hand in hand, enjoying each other's company.

As they sat on a bench under a tree, Marco took out a small box from his pocket. "I have something for you," he said, handing her the box.

Nkem's heart skipped a beat as she opened the box to find a delicate gold bracelet. "It's beautiful," she said, admiring the bracelet.

"It reminded me of you," Marco said, taking her hand and helping her put it on.

Nkem blushed, feeling overwhelmed with emotions. She knew she was falling deeper in love with Marco every day, but she couldn't help but worry about what the future held for them.

As they walked back to her dorm, Nkem's heart was heavy. She knew they were from different worlds, and she feared that their love would not be enough to overcome the challenges they would face.

But for now, she was grateful for Marco's presence and the love they shared. They said their goodbyes, promising to keep in touch, and Nkem watched as he walked away, hoping that their love would endure the distance and the obstacles they faced.
