Chapter Twelve

The next day was the same as the day before until after dinner; hot springs time. The complex of springs was connected to the hotel, so it only took a short walk to arrive at the entrance.

We entered and were immediately faced with two changing rooms, in which the others immediately ran into, Chan following behind. I entered the women's alone to find a woman behind a counter. "Ah! こんにちは！こっちに来てください!"

"Uh, do you speak Korean?" I asked in Korean. She smiled.

"Yes, I can. Come this way please to get your robe." She handed me a bathrobe and I went behind a curtain to change. That being finished, I exited and was about to leave to head to the springs when she stopped me. "The directions, you'll need them. Once you leave this room turn left, then head straight, and turn left again for the women's springs. We're sorry, the signs are being redone so there's no directions." She bowed, apologizing.

"Oh, thank you." I exited and turned left, hearing Stray Kids still changing. The pathway was half outdoors with bamboo and Japanese maples draping it. Statues also lined the path, and I was captivated by them. Soon I arrived at the turn and suddenly my mind went blank. She said left... right? I had been so distracted by the scenery I completely forgot. No... it wasn't left, she definitely said right. Or was it left? I definitely remember her saying right at one point. Trusting my instincts, I turned right, still panicking, and arrived at the door entering the hot springs. Why were there no signs!? Slowly, I opened the door and stepped in. I froze.

"MINHO!?!?"

There, relaxing in the steamy water, was no other than Minho himself. His eyes widened when he saw me and shouted,

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" He quickly ducked down so only his head showed.

"THIS IS THE WOMEN'S... RIGHT!?"

"NO THIS IS MALE!"

I cursed myself. I knew I got the directions wrong!

"YEAH SORRY, I'LL GO NOW...'' Suddenly I heard running footsteps behind me. No... SEVEN HALF NAKED MEN WERE COMING. Panic filled my entire body.

"YAH!" Minho shouted, still only his head showing. "Get in!"

"GET IN!?!" I shouted back, even though we were in talking distance.

"Shut up!! Not like that! There's a storage shed over there, get in there! And don't you dare look out!"

I looked over, noticing the shed, and bolted over, locking myself inside just in time. Excited footsteps entered the hot spring.

"HOT SPRINGS!!" I heard Jisung shout. How long was I supposed to sit in here when there were 8 naked men outside? What if they came in? I clutched my hair and plopped onto the floor. Soon splashes followed.

"Yah! This is for relaxing, not playing!" I heard Hyunjin scold.

"Ehehbe," Jeongin mocked, speaking gibberish. Then Minho spoke up, making me sigh in relief.

"Guys, they said there was food outside. Let's go find it."

"They did?" Felix questioned, splashing someone.

"I'M GOING!" Changbin shouted, and I heard him leave the water. Soon others assented and eventually they were all gone. Thank God for Minho. As soon as I couldn't hear their voices anymore, I slowly left the shed, peered out the door, then full on ran down the hall to the other side where the door to the female hot springs was. I yanked the door open and ran in, relieved to find it completely empty.

And for the next hour, instead of relaxing I had a mental breakdown.

We had agreed in the first place to stay for only an hour, so once that time was up, I headed back over to the changing rooms, found my clothes, and walked out to discover the rest were already finished and waiting for me.

"Let's go," Chan said when he saw me, and we began to head back to the hotel, myself dragging behind. Jeongin joined me and struck up a conversation while I awkwardly replied. Once we arrived, I told them I'd be in in a minute, really planning to stay out as long as possible to get fresh air. My stress level after what had happened added to the humid atmosphere in the springs had made me a little faint, and now all I needed was air. At last alone, I leaned on a bench outside, and stuck my hands in my pockets, looking at the clear night sky. Suddenly I felt something. It was the keychain I had bought for Minho, just chilling in my pocket. I took it out and admired it in the moonlight.

"What's that?" A voice asked. I flipped around and almost immediately stumbled back. Minho was standing behind me, his face inches from mine.

"Wh- when'd you get here!?"

"14 seconds ago. Is that the keychain from the shop yesterday?" He grabbed my hand and brought it to his face. I could feel a blush forming for no reason.

"Y-yeah, I was gonna give it to you since it looked like you wanted it."

"Thanks," he shortly answered and grabbed it from my hand, pocketing it. "I'll go now." He had a smirk as he turned to leave.

"WAIT WHY'D YOU COME IN THE FIRST PLACE!?" I shouted, angrily. He didn't answer but disappeared inside. I sighed, and having gained enough fresh air, followed him inside.
