Apparently Chan, to my request, told everyone I was staying at the house, so I was left alone as everyone rushed out the door. I had been hiding in the bathroom for the past ten minutes, so maybe that explained it. Once I was sure they had left, I emerged, scaring Felix's mom out of her mind.

"Why aren't you with them?" She asked, concerned.

"Oh, yeah. I'm... leaving separately. Don't worry, I'll catch up soon." Soon. I hope soon. But of course, it was unlikely. After declining lunch, I gathered my things and called an Uber. I had nowhere to go. Stray Kids had abandoned me in a few minutes and now I was the stray one. No apartment, no family. The only choice was a hotel I found open around ten minutes from the bar. I guess that was my new home until I could find an apartment. Living alone... this was the end. In only a few hours my whole life had come crashing down, and they didn't even know it.

~

I opened my eyes to a muted ringing. Why was the doorbell ringing? It was eleven... oh right. I had ordered doordash. Rubbing my eyes, I slowly fell out of the hotel bed, hitting my arm on the table, and stood up shakily. With slow, tired feet I shuffled over to the door and unlocked it to find a bag of Chinese food below me. Changbin and I used to eat at this restaurant so much... no, not now.

I dropped the bag onto the small table, and after flipping on a lamp, took a seat and stared at the tempting food blankly. I looked up at the window and stared at my reflection in the dim lighting. Oh. Forgot to close the curtains.

This is how I had been living for the past three days. Lifeless. Now that I was alone again I felt meaningless. And the worst part of it was that they were still constantly on my mind, providing me with a warm yet empty feeling. My heart ached for them, especially Minho. Stupid Minho. And his last words to me were still running clearly through my mind.

"Love you too."

I jolted back to reality. The food was still untouched in front of me. Instead of reaching for it, I fumbled in my pocket for my phone and swiped it on. The apartment I had been looking at stared at me with an unappealing gaze. I mean, there was nothing wrong with it, and it was definitely in my price range. I had just fallen asleep before I could purchase it. I guess it was time...

Suddenly a knock sounded on my door. I frowned in frustration. What did the doordash worker want now? I slowly scooted my chair back and shuffled back over to the door. My eye went to the peephole.

Before I could focus, the stressed click of my door unlocking came to my ears and it opened, slamming into my face. "What the fu-" I was about to swear, but stopped short when no other than Min came into view. She slammed the door and grabbed my shirt.

"Why are you alone, you idiotic turd pile!?" She demanded strongly into my face. Being still half asleep, I was stunned, but soon came to my full senses as she kept shaking me. "Don't you know Stray Kids are in danger!? What are you doing sitting around eating Chinese crap? Why aren't you helping!??!?" I blinked a few times, my eyes getting used to a human face, then began to stammer out,

"They're still fighting...? Chan told me to leave... I'm done with them. Now let me eat my Chinese crap." I wrenched myself out of her grasp and returned to my table, then slumped myself in it. "It's getting cold," I added, mumbling. But Min wasn't finished. She stormed over to me and pulled my chair a few feet away from my previous crap, then grabbed my face.

"I don't care what Chan said," she growled. "They need help. Fyi, they've been fighting three days straight against Hyunjin's family with not even a spark of a plan. Why did you leave them like that!?? You know Chan's the only one with a functioning brain!!"
