Skinny Love

Things have been happy go lucky between me and Tate, no one at home got to know as well. In fact, Tate even said it back after a few days. I'm acing it! But there is a little problem, well not so little since it's effecting me and him both..
We don't talk much, not over calls or texts, because we literally don't know what to talk about. Schools have reopened so we don't get to see each other that much anymore and I'm afraid of sneaking out of home or classes to meet him, what can I say, never been that brave, never needed to be one as well. At this point it's getting weirder, to him more I guess because he has dated before and none of those girls had strict parents and problematic households unlike mine. So he has been really upset and angry over the fact that I'm not putting enough efforts into meeting him but how do I make him understand things aren't the same in our household?

He has been forcing me to meet him, go out with him. That's it, I'm willing to take a risk for him, I should.. he is my boyfriend. So then it's decided I'm gonna meet Tate after school.

I couldn't concentrate in any classes today, I was excited but I was terrified too. What if someone gets to know? My teachers, my family.. it's a disaster. Luckily I have great friends. "Will you relax? We know it's your first time but all of us have been there, it's easy peasy quicky. Enjoy your moment don't stress over it." "I know, it's all very new to me that's why I'm a little frightened. It's okay I know I'll be okay. Thank you guys."

We're meeting alone for the first time, at our favourite place.. the backseat of his car! Sounds funny but this is where we bonded for the first time so it holds a special meaning to me. That makes me wonder, is he gonna kiss me today? "Oh no I just had Masala Chicken at lunch break! Sara! Come with me please! I need to buy a chewing gum first and then you'll come with me, drop me where he's supposed to meet me, I don't wanna go alone please." "Relax, you're looking pretty, you're doing fine. I'll come with you".

Sara and I waited for Tate in our school uniform for 10 minutes and then he came wearing a gray tee with shorts. "Woah he is really good looking man." "I know right, I found a good one." I bid Sara and went to the car with Tate. Honestly things were pretty awkward, we still didn't know what to say so we started slow. "You look really cute in that uniform. Anyway, I have something for you.. I don't know if you'll like it." There it was, a promise ring.. so much for starting slow.. He put the ring on me, the rose gold lining with a white stone on top, it definitely praised my complexion. "Are you kidding me? I love it! Thank you omg! But I didn't get anything for you!" "It's okay, you risked to meet me, it's a big deal." And then he leaned closer put his one hand on my back and another on my chest as he grabbed me and kissed me passionately. We made out the whole time that day and then he dropped me home. Needless to say, I was on 7th heaven and maybe even dizzy after that, I went inside, "Where were you? Why are you so late?"Ari asked with a suspicious look on her face. I got scared, "I had some extra classes today that's why I got late." I ran to my room but I knew that she knew.

All things aside, I got in the shower, played that one song I waited to play for my first kiss, as I said, I have a song ready for each occasion. It baffles me how cheesy I can be at times ugh. But I do feel as if I'm in a dream. Life is good, really good.
